  • Publication number: 20250042709
Abstract: A sterile filling method for an additive product container defining a product chamber adapted for containing an additive product can include forcing a first gas at a first temperature into the product chamber over a first threshold period to heat the product chamber to a first threshold temperature, such as to sterilize the product chamber. The sterile filling method can further include dispensing the additive product at a second temperature into the product chamber, sealing the product chamber; and, rotating the additive product container from a first position to a second position, such as to bring the additive product into contact with a sealing member sealing the product chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220248664
Abstract: Disclosed herein are cryoprotective polymers. The cryoprotective polymers can include one or more DMSO-like moieties (e.g., one or more sulfoxide moieties, one or more sulfone moieties, or a combination thereof) that many the hydrogen-bonding characteristics of DMSO with the advantages of polymeric cryoprotectants. In doing so, very high post-thaw recovery of example cells and tissues can be achieved. The cryoprotective effects of these polymers can result from a limitation of total ice formation, a disruption of water hydrogen-bonding networks, and a well-timed vitrification of the unfrozen space between ice crystals. Also provided are cryoprotective solutions comprising these cryoprotective polymers as well as methods of using these polymers and solutions to preserve biological materials.

  • Patent number: 9120415
Abstract: The cargo retention assembly includes a rod operationally coupled to a trailer. A clamp is coupled to an end of the rod. The clamp engages the trailer so the rod is movably coupled to the trailer. The rod is positionable to abut the cargo on the trailer. A fastener is operationally coupled to the clamp. The fastener engages the trailer so the rod is retained at the selected position on the trailer. The rod may be constructed of a plurality of rod members that telescope with respect to one another in order to adjust a rod length thereby accommodating a plurality of varying trailer sizes. The clamp features a bracket with an open top and first side that enables the end of the rod to fall therein.

  • Patent number: 8151086
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of detecting an access to de-allocated memory, comprising: creating a pool of fixed size memory blocks that are a non-zero integer multiple of a page size of a processor; receiving a request for an allocation of a block of memory; recording a set of allocation context information in a fixed size memory block; returning a pointer to an allocation of memory within said fixed size memory block; receiving a request to de-allocate said block of memory; recording a set of de-allocation context information in said fixed size memory block; and, setting an indicator in a page table entry associated with said fixed size memory block to a first value that indicates access to said fixed size memory block is not allowed.

  • Publication number: 20110068074
Abstract: A modular display system comprises a plurality of block members connected together along edges to form an enclosed display area. Each block member is formed of a pair of planar members removably connected together by magnets secured to each planar member to form a dual-layer arrangement in which the planar members abut each other at mating planar faces. The magnets associated with each planar member align with the magnets of the other planar member in order to secure the planar members together. The aligned magnets, in turn, align with magnets on a neighbouring bock member in order to secure said block members together. In this way, the block members may be assembled into a display enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20060113727
Abstract: The present invention includes a scent-based board game to challenge the olfactory sense of the player, and a method of play thereof, further including a game board having a start space, an end space and a set of spaces positioned between the start and end space; a scented card having a scent, the identity of the scent and an order; and positional markers. The players progress along the game path by following instructions on the game spaces, identifying the correct scent on the scented cards, and avoiding obstacles. The first player to arrive to the end space is declared as winner.

  • Publication number: 20050265344
Abstract: A slave node for use with a Local Interconnect Network (LIN network) receives incoming messages from the LIN network in a manner that reduces operating current, power consumption and/or operating temperature. The slave node generally includes an input circuit, an electronic processing device, associated components such as an Integrated Glass Fog Sensor (IGFS) unit, and a transmitting device all mounted on a single circuit board. The input circuit, which can either be separate from or incorporated within the electronic processing device, pre-filters an incoming message from a LIN bus such that it only wakes the transmitting device out of its low-current sleep mode when required. Stated differently, the transmitting device is removed from an incoming message path so that it is only active when it is transmitting an outgoing message.

Abstract: A control structure and method for controlling a sensor heater including a power supply connected to a switching device for pulse width modulating a voltage from the power supply. The switching device is further connected to a resistance heater. A microcontroller having a single output is connected to the switching device and a single input from the microcontroller is connected to a high side of the resistance heater. The microcontroller determines a pulse width modulation duty cycle to maintain a constant power dissipation of the resistance heater.

  • Patent number: 5812098
Abstract: A single port antenna connector assembly, mateable with either a retractable antenna or a hardline connector, is provided. When the antenna connector is mated with the connector assembly, it engages a signal contact supplying an antenna signal. When the hardline connector is mated, it engages a signal contact supplying a conductive signal to test equipment, or to an auxiliary antenna. The signal contacts have different positions in the assembly, with each connector being differentiated to engage only its corresponding signal contact. In addition, the design of connector assembly permits the antenna to be withdrawn through the connector assembly, at least partially, past the unused test signal contact. The antenna has at least two positions so that the profile of the antenna can be reduced for either storage, or for lower gain operation when the device is in a standby mode of operation.
