  • Patent number: 7818337
Abstract: A system, method, and program product is provided that receives a client request from a client computer system over a computer network, such as the Internet. The client request includes a request method and also includes a resource identifier. The system traverses a directory structure using the resource identifier. A resource file is located based on the traversing. The name associated with the resource file also includes the name of the resource method. A database query statement is retrieved from the located resource file. The retrieved database query statement is executed. The execution of the database query statement yields one or more database results, such as records from a database table. These database results are returned to the client computer system.

  • Publication number: 20090328205
Abstract: A system for securing user created Web resources that includes a data store and a URI security engine. The data store can store digitally encoded content comprising a set of user created, URI identified resources. The URI security engine can provide declarative instance based URI access control to the user created URI identified resources. The URI security engine can apply semantics of user/group control for accessing the URI identified resource. These controls can be group controlled based upon deployer (creator) established privileges rather than being based upon an explicit developer established privileges, which may not be possible since the resources can be deployer (end-user) created resources not existing at development time.

  • Publication number: 20060092203
Abstract: An ink jet printer has a roofshooter type printhead with first and second aligned nozzle arrays that ejects ink droplets onto a recording medium in a complete image swath during a single pass. The ink droplets from the first array of nozzles print selected pixels of an image in each line of pixels on the recording medium, and the ink droplets from the second array of nozzles print the remaining pixels of the image in each line of pixels not printed by the first array of nozzles, thereby providing a printhead capable of complementary printing of a complete image swath in a single pass that eliminates the signature effect in ink jet printing.

  • Patent number: 6698862
Abstract: A method and apparatus are providing for extending the drop volume control of a thermal ink jet print head. The print head has a plurality of drop ejectors, each of the plurality of drop ejectors has a heating element actuatable in response to input signals to eject an ink droplet from the print head. The method includes the steps of applying a plurality of print signals to the print head, the plurality of print signals corresponding to an image for the ink jet assembly to create, applying at least one pulse signal to the print head, and sequentially using the at least one pulse signal and the plurality of print signals to activate the heating elements so that the change in current remains small.

  • Patent number: 6651095
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products are provided for managing user preferences in heterogenous networks. A native application is selected and a software routine and user preferences obtained from a server which allows installation of the user preferences of the native application on the computer obtaining the preferences. Thus, the software routine obtained may be tailored to the particular computer executing the native application. This routine may be downloaded without requiring intervention at the computer and may be downloaded only if needed by selection of an application. Furthermore, the user preferences may be selected based on a user or user group such that the preferences may be used on different computer by the same user or user group.

  • Patent number: 6535896
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products are provided for utilizing XML-based tools to tailor HTML-based Web page content for display within various client devices. Content portions of a requested Web page are converted to an XML format and then modified using an XML content-tailoring tool. Other content portions of the Web page are masked so as to be “hidden” and are, thus, not converted to XML format. The masked portions of the Web page are then unmasked, combined with the modified content portions, and transmitted to a client device for display therewithin.
