  • Patent number: 9663146
Abstract: An outrigger plank splice support which is selectively removably attached to an outrigger which extends transversely outwardly from a trailer. The outrigger plank splice support includes an upper horizontally disposed plank support member which has a greater width than the width of the upper end member of the outrigger.

  • Patent number: 9315138
Abstract: A hydraulic tail trailer comprising a main deck having a main tail assembly pivotally connected to the rearward end thereof with the pivotal connection therebetween being located forwardly of the centerline of the rear axle of the trailer suspension system. The location of the hinge between the main deck and the main tail assembly, by being located forwardly of the centerline of the rear axle, provides a main tail having an increased length thereby providing a lower loading angle without increasing the overall length of the trailer. The trailer of this invention also enables the front axles of the trailer suspension system to be moved to multiple spread positions with respect to the rear axle.

  • Patent number: 8662525
Abstract: An adjustable width trailer is disclosed which is capable of hauling large machines, farm machinery, or the like. The trailer includes one or more pull-out extender assemblies mounted on the frame of the trailer. Each of the pull-out extender assemblies includes a plurality of horizontally disposed and horizontally spaced-apart support tubes which are secured to the frame of the trailer in a transverse relationship thereto so that the outer ends of the support tubes are positioned outwardly of the frame members of the frame of the trailer. Each of the pull-out extender assemblies includes first and second pull-out sections at one side of the trailer and third and fourth pull-out sections at the other side of the trailer which are individually movable between retraced and extended positions.

  • Patent number: 8573915
Abstract: A trailer for transporting large equipment, buses, recreational vehicles, wherein the trailer includes a main deck at its forward end which is supported upon first and second elongated frame members. First and second running gear beams extend rearwardly from the rearward ends of the first and second frame members with each of the running gear beams including an upwardly and rearwardly extending first beam portion, a rearwardly and horizontally extending second beam portion and a downwardly and rearwardly extending third beam portion. First and second ramps are positioned laterally outwardly of the third beam portions of the first and second running gear beams and are movable between upper and lower positions. Vertically movable bolsters are positioned between the wheels of the axles which support the trailer at the rearward end thereof. The bolsters may be moved from a lower transport position to an upper loading/unloading position.

  • Patent number: 6036207
Abstract: A trailer including a longitudinally extending frame comprised of longitudinally extending frame members having rearward and forward ends. Each of the frame members has a first section modulus which is positioned forwardly of the rearward end thereof, at least a second section modulus which is positioned forwardly of the first section modulus, and a transition section modulus positioned therebetween. A running gear is longitudinally slidably mounted on the frame members and has running gear retainers mounted thereon which slidably embrace the lower end of the frame members. When the running gear is in its transport position, a spacer is provided between the running gear retainers and the frame members to prevent excessive play therebetween. The retainers are designed so that once the retainers move out of engagement with the spacers, there is sufficient play or gap between the retainers and the frame members to enable the running gear to move from the first section modulus to the second section modulus.

  • Patent number: 5667231
Abstract: A trailer comprising a wheeled frame including a main deck and an upper deck positioned thereon. The rearward end of the upper deck is pivotally interconnected to the forward end of the main deck by multiple arms which maintain the upper deck in a substantially horizontal position while the main deck is being pivoted with respect to the upper deck. A suspension system is slidably mounted on the wheeled frame and is slidably movable from a transport position to a tilt position forwardly therefrom to enable the main deck to be pivoted so that the rearward end of the main deck may be moved into ground engagement to enable equipment or the like to be mounted on the trailer.
