  • Patent number: 7100529
Abstract: A decorative residential or commercial flag for attachment to a supporting upright pole having flag attachment means comprising a linear sleeve adapted to loosely slip over the upright pole to enable unobstructed rotation of the flag in response to wind direction along with a flexible tab secured to the top of the linear sleeve adapted to rotatably engage an upwardly extending narrow pin located at the top of the upright pole. The flexible tab contains an opening larger than the narrowed upright extension to enable free rotation of the tab around the narrowed extension, while the opening is smaller than the upright pole to enable the larger diameter pole to vertically support the flexible tab. The flexible tab supports the decorative flag vertically on the upright pole while the sleeve enables circumferential rotation of the decorative flag about the axis of the upright pole. The decorative flag can be attached directly to an upright pole or inclined pole.

  • Patent number: 7062873
Abstract: A golf marking flag for attachment to a supporting upright pole having flag attachment means comprising a linear sleeve adapted to loosely slip over the upright pole to enable unobstructed rotation of the flag in response to wind direction along with a flexible tab secured to the top of the linear sleeve and adapted to rotatably engage an upwardly extending narrow pin located at the top of the upright pole. The flexible tab contains an opening larger than the narrowed upright extension to enable free rotation of the tab around the narrowed extension, while the opening is smaller than the upright pole to enable the larger pole to vertically support the marking flag. The flexible tab supports the marking flag on the upright pole while the sleeve enables rotation of the marking flag about the upright pole. The golf marking flag can be attached directly to an upright pole or adapted to be interconnected to an intervening swivel harness to provide indirect connection to the upright pole.

  • Publication number: 20040043844
Abstract: A netting material attached to a football goal post where the netting is secured at the upper two corners to the back side of the vertical uprights to provide a slack loose netting attachment behind the goal pots to collect successfully kicked footballs kicked between the uprights and the horizontal crossbar. A plurality of retainer ties are secured to the vertical border of the netting and loosely looped around the adjacent vertical upright, while a bottom retainer tie or ties are looped around the crossbar, provided the netting is sufficiently open at the bottom to enable successfully kicked footballs to drop to the ground beneath the goal post. The retainer ties maintain loose engagement of the netting with the uprights and crossbar to provide slack loose attachment to the backside of the goal post.

  • Patent number: 6149135
Abstract: A movable pole system supporting divider material such as fencing, netting, or rope divider between a plurality of laterally spaced vertical poles orientated in a predetermined ground pattern. Each pole contains one or more connectors secured to the exterior surface of the pole for supporting the mesh material. Each connector includes a quick connect and disconnect mechanism comprising at least three outwardly extending elbows each with a vertically disposed arm. The upwardly extending vertical arms are in cooperative combination with the downwardly depending vertical arms to facilitate connection and disconnection of the fencing, provided the exterior vertical arms are opposed in direction to the intervening interior vertical arm.

  • Patent number: 5186119
Abstract: A modular marking system for permanently marking the playing field on an athletic field with removable upright visible markers containing a variable diameter spring means for attaching an above ground, upright visible marker to a ground anchor. The variable diameter spring means comprises heavy gauge coiled steel having a large diameter coil section disposed within the ground anchor and a small diameter coil section secured within the upright visible marker, where the intermediate diameter reduction area is approximate to ground level to facilitate bending at ground level upon impact from any direction. The ground anchors permanently mark critical intersecting points of playing field lines, where the ground anchors can be used for aligning and visible marking playing field lines and subsequently for supporting the upright visible markers. The modular marking system is particularly useful for permanently marking different playing fields on the sme athletic field.
