Abstract: A hard hat with radio frequency communication includes a hat body and a vibrator carried by the hat body. A transceiver for receiving and transmitting radio frequency signals is connected to a processor. The transceiver and the processor are carried by the hat body. The processor is programmed to activate the vibrator to notify a wearer of a radio frequency signal received by the transceiver and to transmit an acknowledgement signal via the transceiver. A power source is carried by the hard hat for powering the vibrator, the transceiver and the processor.

Abstract: A sensor network for managing the location of materials on a construction site includes RF sensors having unique identifiers attached to selected items. A radio frequency sensor reader network with two or more RF sensor readers sense the unique identifier of each of the radio frequency sensors and their distance from each radio frequency sensor. A processor connected to the radio frequency sensor reader network determines the location of the radio frequency sensors based on the unique identifier and distance sensed by each radio frequency sensor reader. A selection device for selects a RF sensor based on a user input, and an image capture device moves in response to the user input to display the selected radio frequency sensor on a display device.

Abstract: A method of tracking a lifecycle of a product includes creating a template of a lifecycle of a product. The template includes steps in the lifecycle of the product between a supplier and a customer. The steps include steps of a manufacturing and delivery process. The template and the status of each step is stored in an electronic device that is accessible to the supplier and to the customer. The supplier accesses the template and modifies the status of each step in the manufacturing and delivery process as completed as the lifecycle progresses. The customer accesses the template to monitor the progress of the lifecycle.
