Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for contactless assessment of fatigue of a user, in particular a vehicle operator. The invention is comprised of a seamless continuous evaluation of cardiac activity variability and uses this data as an input for evaluation and quantitative assessment of sympathetic and parasympathetic activity of the autonomic nervous system, which are reliable markers of the physiological condition of a user. The small device is fixed to a driver's safety belt or embedded in the back of driver's seat without direct contacts to a user's body. The device continuously monitors the fatigue level of a user and alerts the user if he/she unexpectedly drifts from wakefulness to drowsiness. The invention significantly improves the safety of a vehicle operator.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrode chest belt for acquisition, processing and transmission of cardiac (ECG) signals. The chest belt comprises a flexible belt, which adjusts to accommodate individuals of varying sizes, and two or more electrodes that are inserted in soft flexible pads, placed in predetermined positions on the belt, and connected to an embedded electronic processing unit wherein the acquired cardiac signals are amplified, filtered, digitized and transmitted to any number of other devices wherein additional processing and storage of the signals may take place.

Abstract: A device and a process for analyzing a medical condition of a user. This device and process can also be used to predict a future abnormal medical condition of the user. The device includes a portable information-receiving device, an information processing device and a remote storage and processing device. These three devices may be in communication with each other via a wireless communication system. This device can include a GPS system for locating the user when the user is having an abnormal medical condition. The process is designed to take a digital signal from a plurality of ECG sensors on the portable information device and form a QRS wave. One or more points are extracted from this QRS wave are used to form a QRS complex wave. QRS complex waves are used to analyze the medical condition of the user. A plurality of parameters are calculated from these points on the QRS wave. If the medical condition of the user is in an abnormal range then an alarm will sound.
