  • Patent number: 4413692
Abstract: A power assisting device for manually operated vehicles, such as a bicycle, which takes the form of a motor which rotatably drives a driving wheel. The motor is mounted on a mounting frame. The mounting frame is connected through a linkage assembly to the frame of the bicycle. The driving wheel is connected by a suspension system to the mounting frame so that relative movement can occur between the driving wheel and the frame. The transmission of power between the motor to the driving wheel is accomplished through a pair of driving belts which are connected through an idler pulley. The idler pulley is mounted through a automatic belt tensioning device to the mounting frame.

  • Patent number: 4346772
Abstract: A power assisting device for a manually operated vehicle such as a bicycle which takes the form of a motor which rotationally drives a driving wheel through a centrifugal clutch assembly. The driving wheel is connected through a linkage assembly to the frame of the bicycle with the linkage assembly permitting a limited amount of lateral movement of the power assisting device to avoid skidding of the driving wheel during making of turns with the bicycle. Movements of the power assisting device toward and away from the roadway are to be damped through a motion damper assembly mounted in conjunction with the linkage assembly.

  • Patent number: 4233788
Abstract: The apparatus and method of supplying pulverized insulative material within an existing wall structure which already has a pad of insulative material located within the wall. An access opening or hole is provided through the exterior wall surface. The tool includes a straight elongated tubular member which has a helical groove adjacent the outer end of the tool, the helical groove terminating in a cutting edge. The cutting edge portion of the tool is inserted through the access opening and rotated against the pad of insulation thereby cutting such until the cutting edge of the tool is located directly adjacent the backing layer of material of the pad of insulation. At this time, the tool is then rotated approximately 360 degrees causing the tool to penetrate the backing layer of material and locating the backing layer of material within the helical groove. By pulling outward slightly the backing layer is spaced from the inner wall. The backing layer is then punctured with a separate instrument.

  • Patent number: 4103464
Abstract: The apparatus and method of supplying pulverized insulative material to within an existing wall structure which already has a pad of insulative material located within the wall. An access opening is provided through the outer surface of the wall. The tool is formed in substantially a right angle and is to be connectable to a machine for blowing insulation. The outer edge of the tool includes a cutting edge and the outer surface of the tool adjacent the cutting edge is formed slightly arcuate. The cutting edge portion of the tool is inserted through the access opening and moved against the pad of insulation thereby cutting such until the cutting edge of the tool is located directly adjacent the backing layer of material of the pad of insulation. At this time the tool is then pivoted causing the tool to penetrate the backing layer of material and continuing to pivot the tool causes the tool to be located between the backing layer of material and the inner wall.
