  • Patent number: 6092652
Abstract: A molded container having a base and a cover includes a network of segments that define a plurality of apertures through the base and the cover. Although the container retains structural strength, the weight of the container is substantially reduced by virtue of the apertures, thereby reducing the tonnage required to secure the mold during manufacture and reducing the cost of each container. The container can optionally be provided with a flexible sheet to cover the apertures.

  • Patent number: 6014915
Abstract: A gear housing for use in a worm gear drive mechanism having an output shaft, has an integral backwall adapted to support the shaft. The backwall has a cylindrical central portion for receiving one end of the output shaft. A plurality of equal pie shaped segments extend radially from the central portion providing support for the central portion in compression. Each segment has a narrow end, a wide end, and sides. The narrow end of adjacent segments alternately form an integral part of the central portion above and below a plane orthogonal to a central axis of the central portion.

  • Patent number: 5273563
Abstract: A filter media retaining assembly for use in an air filter includes a filter media engaging flange disposed on the side wall of the filter framework which holds a pleat of the filter media adjacent the side wall and a hinged keeper disposed along the edge of the side wall and movable between a closed position in which a portion of the keeper engages the filter media and the flange so as to retain the filter media in position along the flange and an open position in which the filter media may be lifted and removed from the flange.

  • Patent number: 4974733
Abstract: A vertical file assembly which is easy and less costly to manufacture with injection molding techniques has (1) a divider unit with spaced apart dividers rising from an integral base panel to form compartments for books, catalogs, file folders and documents and (2) two wedge-shaped adapters each with a pair of barbed projections projecting inwards from an upper edge. These projections are inserted in receiving slots and latched in apertures formed in the bottom of the base panel of the divider unit. When the adapters and divider unit are assembled, the base panel slants upward from front to back to elevate each divider a certain measure above the preceding divider. The wedge-shaped adapters also have tabs with ledge portions which slide along the sidewalls and are caught in niches in the sidewalls of a supporting letter tray.

  • Patent number: 4588094
Abstract: A file tray adapted to be mounted on a generally vertical wall with headed fasteners driven into the wall. The file tray is adapted to serve both as a primary and secondary file tray in a vertical array including a primary file tray and at least one secondary file tray. A vertically oriented mounting surface is adapted to rest against the wall on which the file tray is mounted. A back wall extends forwardly and upwardly from the mounting surface for a selected distance. A back wall flange extends from the top of the back wall rearwardly to the mounting surface. The file tray has compartment having at least a floor and including the back wall. The mounting surface includes bottom and top mounting tabs having notches and holes adapted to engage the shank of a headed fastener so that the head thereof retains the file tray on the wall.
