  • Patent number: 7645355
Abstract: A method of making a repositionable transfer adhesive is provided. The method includes the steps of (a) providing a release liner having opposing first and second surfaces, the first surface having a release value of at least 10 grams per inch, as measured according to the Tape Release Test, lower than the second surface; (b) providing an adhesive composition comprising microsphere adhesive and a binder adhesive; (c) coating the adhesive composition on the first surface of the release liner such that the microspheres protrude from the binder adhesive; (d) drying the adhesive composition to yield a microsphere transfer adhesive; (e) winding the release liner such that the microsphere transfer adhesive is wound inwardly and the second surface of the liner contacts the microspheres; and (f) applying pressure to the second surface of the liner.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 2006
Date of Patent: January 12, 2010
    Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties Company
Inventors: Lori A. Bilski, Dale O. Bailey, Mark S. Vogel, Frederick J. Gustafson

  • Patent number: 6688488
Abstract: A package for dispensing individual sheets of material from a stack includes a base and a compartment with side walls connected to the base and a cover connected to the side walls for holding the stack of sheet material. The cover includes an opening that is configured to define a pair of flanges on either side of the opening. The flanges are formed to be angularly displaced relative to the cover toward the base to bias the stack of sheet material toward the base.

  • Patent number: 5972155
Abstract: A repositionable, adhesively mounted, blank signage sheet including (i) a sheet having imprintable first and second major surfaces which are essentially void of communicative indicia, (ii) repositionable adhesive strips disposed on the first major surface of the sheet along each of the margins, with each adhesive strip offset from the edge of the sheet so as to define adhesive-free tabs along the first and second edges of the sheet, and (iii) release liners covering the marginal adhesive strips.
