  • Publication number: 20210209847
Abstract: A method of 3D modeling for hairpiece manufacturing, comprising: scanning a head and obtaining an initial 3D model of the head with 3D geometry and color information; displaying the 3D model to user on a display; receiving user input about an indication; and forming a corresponding indication on the 3D model, so as to obtain a refined 3D model. A physical mold used for creating a hairpiece and a method for generating the same are also disclosed according to other aspects of the present disclosure.

  • Patent number: 11037373
Abstract: A method for generating a 3D digital model used for creating a hairpiece are disclosed. The method comprises: obtaining a 3D model of a head, the 3D model containing a 3D surface mesh having one single boundary and color information associated with the 3D mesh; mapping the 3D model into a 2D image in such a manner that any continuously connected line on the 3D model is mapped into a continuously connected line in the 2D image, the 2D image containing a 2D mesh with color information applied thereto; displaying the 2D image; identifying a feature in the 2D image based on the color information; and mapping the identified feature back onto the 3D model. A system for generating a 3D digital model used for creating a hairpiece is also provided in another aspect of the present disclosure.

  • Patent number: 9224245
Abstract: In one aspect, in general, parallel image and depth maps are acquired of a subject using a three-dimensional camera on a common and dense set of pixel locations. A two-dimensional mesh animation is determined based on motion tracking in the acquired images. The two-dimensional mesh animation is then combined with the depth maps for form three-dimensional mesh animation suitable for rendering.
