  • Publication number: 20050054785
Abstract: The invention describes a method of curing a polymerizable material containing ethylenically unsaturated bonds at a temperature of 60° C. or less, comprising the steps of (a) providing a curative comprising an effective amount of a light-stable isomer of a 2,4,5-triarylimidazolyl dimer, such as bilophine; (b) activating said curative by application of an activator selected from the group consisting of solvent and friction; and (c) combining the activated curative with the polymerizable material. Articles comprising an adhesive having a detackified surface, such as adhesive bandages, a detackifying solution, a two-part adhesive system, and a fastening system are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20030220168
Abstract: A method and apparatus for teaching the game of golf, the apparatus of which includes a novel harness assembly that is removably affixed to the upper body portion of the trainee. The harness assembly includes first and second spaced apart straps that are draped over the trainee's shoulders. Uniquely, each of the first and second straps have on their front portions an upper rod receiving loop, a lower rod receiving loop and an intermediate rod receiving loop disposed between the upper rod receiving loop and said lower rod receiving loop. The apparatus also includes an elongated position-indicating rod having first and second end portions that are selectively receivable within the rod receiving loops provided on the first and second straps. The position-indicating rod can be interconnected with the harness so that it extends either substantially parallel with the plane of the trainee's shoulders or angularly with respect thereto.

  • Patent number: 5921871
Abstract: A golf putter providing improved control of distance and direction of a golf ball impacted by the putter includes a resilient insert having a controlled rebound factor fitted into a wedge-shaped recess provided in the face of the putter head. The insert includes a front rebound control pad made of a resilient polymer material, and a rear backing plate releasably fastenable to the putter head. Intrinsic resiliency, thickness and hardness of the pad are chosen to yield in combination with the putter head body an overall, composite ball-impacting rebound factor that may be varied over a relatively wide range of rebound factors, which determine in a substantially linear way the roll distance of a ball impacted by the putter. The insert may be readily interchanged by a golfer with other inserts which provide higher or lower rebound factors, which may be chosen on days in which greens were slower or faster, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4055909
Abstract: A display panel has a set of guides which in a preferred embodiment comprises a set of parallel track members upon each of which a plurality of riders are transported and frictionally held in place by means such as by a magnet. Thus, the riders may slide along the tracks singly or in a group and each rider may be removed in any position. Each rider includes a transparent pocket or envelope for receiving a document which displays the indicia or message. The pocket is hinged to the rider so that an internal folded document inserted into the pocket may be viewed from front and rear without removal of the document from the pocket.
