Patent number: 8984580Abstract: A method to interact with a remote USB device is disclosed. An identifying message is received from a remote client associated with the remote USB device. The remote USB device is identified based at least in part on the identifying message from the remote client. A security policy is determined for the remote USB device. A policy message is transmitted to the remote client for selectively implementing the security policy of the remote USB device. A method to interact with a local USB device is disclosed. An identifying message is determined by performing a host controller service for the local USB device. The identifying message is transmitted to a server. A policy message is received from the server for selectively implementing a security policy on the local USB device. The security policy is regarded and configuring the host controller service.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2008Date of Patent: March 17, 2015Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Nils Bunger, Aly E. Orady, Matthew B. Debski, Pankaj Garg, Dali Kilani, Teju Khubchandani, Himadri Choudhury

Patent number: 8813098Abstract: A method to interact with a local USB device is disclosed. Messages are transmitted to a remote host controller driver from a host controller associated with the local USB device. Messages are received from the remote host controller driver for the host controller. In some embodiments, a transfer descriptor prototype is received from the remote host controller driver. A completed transfer descriptor is received from the remote host controller driver. The completed transfer descriptor and the transfer descriptor prototype are transformed into a modified transfer descriptor in part by using a collection of rules. The modified transfer descriptor is submitted to the local host controller without intervention from the remote host controller driver.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2008Date of Patent: August 19, 2014Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Nils Bunger, Aly E. Orady, Matthew B. Debski, Pankaj Garg, Dali Kilani, Teju Khubchandani, Himadri Choudhury

Patent number: 8264494Abstract: A method for remotely displaying 3D information on a remote machine is disclosed. An application graphics command is generated, corresponding to a first 3D API from an application on a first machine. The application graphics command are translated to a remote graphics command corresponding to a second 3D API wherein the remote graphics command is compatible with a transport mechanism and a graphics driver on a second machine. The remote graphics command is transported over a network to a second machine.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2008Date of Patent: September 11, 2012Assignee: Pano Logic, Inc.Inventors: Dali Kilani, Nils Bunger, Aly E. Publication number: 20090282199Abstract: The present invention systems and methods enable dynamic allocation and control of on-chip memory. In one embodiment, a system includes a plurality of internal memory components and a control component. The plurality of internal memory components store information. The control component controls access requests from a plurality of heterogeneous components to the internal memory components. The plurality of internal memory components are dynamically assigned to the plurality of heterogeneous components. The heterogeneous components can include different types of engines. In one embodiment, the system includes a clock compensation component for coordinating clocking for access requests from the heterogeneous engines.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2007Publication date: November 12, 2009Inventors: Michael B. Cox, John B. Newlin, Marc R. Delvaux, Laura R. Carns, Mohamed A. (Dali) Kilani
