    Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods for long-term benchmarking of electrochromic glass unit (“EGU”) are described. In some embodiments, a device monitoring and control system can transmit control messages to respective communication gateways for a plurality of remote installation sites for EGUs to benchmark the state the EGUs. During a low usage time of the EGUs, an installation site control system can collect telemetry data while cycling the state of its EGUs between clear and full tint to perform the benchmarking. The device monitoring and control system can receive messages from the installation sites, where the messages comprise the telemetry data associated with the benchmarking of the EGUs. The device monitoring and control system can store the telemetry data in data storage, perform analytics functions on the telemetry data at a data analytics engine, and provide results of the analytics functions to one or more remote destinations.

    Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods for remote authorization and controlling of electrochromic glass units (“EGUs”) are described. In some embodiments, a device monitoring and control system can provide a first authorization code to a communication gateway for an installation site for EGUs to authorize mobile applications to control at least some of the EGUs of the installation site. The device monitoring and control system can receive, via a control interface, a second authorization code from a mobile application, and compare the provided first authorization code to the received second authorization code. If the authorization codes compare, the mobile application can be authorized to control the EGUs of the installation site. The device monitoring and control system can also receive control instructions from the authorized mobile application to control the EGUs, and transmit control messages based on the control instructions to the installation site to implement the control instructions.

The method can include receiving state information from at least one wearable device, prioritizing the received state information, sending signals from a remote management system to a first controller in response to the received prioritized state information, and changing a first transmission state of a non-light-emitting, variable transmission device to a second transmission state for the non-light-emitting, variable transmission device in response to the signals received from the first controller.

The apparatus can include a central processing unit that executes instructions. The instructions and method can include mapping the motherboard, analyzing one or more electrochromic devices within a batch to determine a yield of each of the one or more electrochromic devices, prioritizing the one or more electrochromic devices based on the yield, and placing a first electrochromic device on the motherboard, where the first electrochromic device has the highest priority of the one or more electrochromic devices within the batch.

    Abstract: A system can include a processor couple to the one or more non-light emitting, variable transmission devices. The processor can be configured to receive a first data from the one or more non-light emitting, variable transmission devices without sending a request, send a first request to collect a second data from the devices, determine whether either the second data is received or a first time-out frame is reached, if the second data is received before the first-time out frame is reached, then send a second request to collect a third data from the one or more non-light emitting, variable transmission devices, and if the first-time out frame is reached before the second data is received, then requeue the first request for the second data and send the second request to collect the third data from the one or more non-light emitting, variable transmission devices.
