  • Patent number: 10092150
Abstract: A cleaner head for a cleaning appliance, comprising a main body, a first bearing assembly, a second bearing assembly and a brushbar. The first bearing assembly is secured to the main body, and comprises a first stationary part fixed with respect to the main body and a first rotary part arranged to rotate with respect to the first stationary part. The second bearing assembly is secured to the main body, and comprises a second stationary part fixed with respect to the main body and a second rotary part arranged to rotate with respect to the second stationary part. The brushbar is coupled for rotation with the first and second rotary parts such that the brushbar rotates with the first and second rotary parts, and is configured to slidably engage the first and second rotary parts such that it can be separated from the first and second rotary parts for cleaning.

  • Patent number: 9974421
Abstract: A cleaning appliance includes separating apparatus for separating dirt from a dirt-bearing fluid flow, a floor engaging rolling assembly housing a motor driven fan unit for drawing the fluid flow through the separating apparatus, a chassis connected to the rolling assembly, and a duct for conveying the fluid flow to the separating apparatus. To improve the stability of the appliance, the duct has an inlet section which is connected to the chassis for pivoting movement relative to the chassis as the appliance is maneuvered over a floor surface. An outlet section for coupling the inlet section to the separating apparatus is releasably connected to the rolling assembly to facilitate the removal of any blockages within the duct.

  • Publication number: 20090212132
Abstract: A spray dispenser comprises a housing and a nozzle. The housing contains a reservoir for storing liquid, an electrolytic cell for receiving liquid from the reservoir and increasing the level of oxidative properties in the liquid, and a pump for circulating fluid between the reservoir and the electrolytic cell so that liquid having enhanced oxidative properties in dispensed from the nozzle. In the preferred embodiment, the electrolytic cell generates hydrogen peroxide from water introduced to the reservoir by the user so that a sterilising solution of hydrogen peroxide is dispensed from the nozzle.
