    Abstract: A stethoscope cover applicator for facilitating application of a protective membrane to the stethoscope includes a membrane member configured to be selectively secured to a diaphragm of the stethoscope to inhibit contact between the skin of the patient and the stethoscope. An axle is couplable to the membrane member and the membrane member is rolled around the axle. A base member configured to engage a support surface receives the axle to facilitate unrolling of the membrane member from the axle.
