  • Patent number: 11181343
Abstract: A method of operating a deployable armor panel is disclosed with steps as; grasping a pair of extractors with a pair of handles or distal loops by inserting a thumb and/or finger of a user into said pairs of distal loops; extracting said deployable armor panel up and out by stretching said pair of extractors through said pair of distal loops connected therewith; stretching said deployable armor panel over head of said user by pulling said pair of extractors through said pair of distal loops from said internal compartment of said carrier; positioning said deployable armor panel in front of a chest of said user by draping said pair of tethers over said shoulders of said user; and securing said deployable armor panel in front of said chest by attaching said panel, to a belt disposed at both sides of said carrier, by a pair of adjustable fasteners.

  • Publication number: 20210205557
Abstract: A system for collecting an anaesthetic agent, having at least one anaesthetic gas scavenging system (AGSS) for receiving exhaust gas from a plurality of sources, the exhaust gas including the anaesthetic agent to be collected, each AGSS comprising at least one power source for providing suction of the exhaust gas from the plurality of sources under negative pressure, and a central collection system for receiving the exhaust gas, the central collection system comprising at least one collector for collecting the anaesthetic agent from the exhaust gas, wherein the at least one collector is configured to adsorb the anaesthetic agent from the exhaust gas. The central collection system may be configured to received the exhaust gases from the at least one AGSS, with the central collection system being located downstream of the at least one AGSS.

  • Publication number: 20200025523
Abstract: A carrier provides deployable protection for protecting a user. The carrier includes a shell with an internal compartment and an external pair of shoulder straps. An armored panel has a pair of tethers each with an anchored end secured inside the internal compartment of the shell. A flexible pair of extractors can lie in front of the shell and each has a proximal end attached to the armored panel. Using separate hands the user can grasp the pair of extractors at a position in front of the user, and use the extractors to manually extract the armored panel up out of the internal compartment. The pair of tethers can then be draped over the shoulders of the user while positioning the armored panel over the chest of the user.

  • Publication number: 20140014187
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling fluid flow in a medical facility includes a plurality of remotely controlled zone valves. Each zone valve is coupled to a respective fluid conduit for opening and closing the fluid conduit to control fluid flow therethrough. The apparatus also includes an access terminal installed in a user-accessible location that is located remotely from the zone valves. For example, the zone valve may be located in a ceiling, and the access terminal may be located on a wall. The access terminal has an input interface for receiving instructions to open and close the zone valves, an output device for communicating with the zone valves to remotely open and close each zone valve based on the received instructions, and an alarm for indicating when at least one of the zone valves is closed.
