  • Patent number: 11192180
Abstract: Sliding gate for a vessel containing molten metal includes a slide housing, a slide unit guided longitudinally in the slide housing and having a push rod, a mounting and a linear drive removably fastened in the latter and has a drive rod. This drive rod can be connected to the push rod by a coupling. The coupling is designed such that, when the linear drive has been pushed into the mounting, it automatically couples by movement of the drive rod towards the slide unit, while it uncouples when the linear drive is removed from the mounting transversely in relation to the direction of movement of the drive rod. A locking device is actuated by the linear drive and interacts with the mounting, by means of which the linear drive after being pushed into the mounting is fixed in the latter and can be unlocked again before it is removed.

  • Patent number: 10857593
Abstract: Method and device for repairing the spout sleeve of a metallurgical vessel fitted securely within the refractory lining of the vessel in which the sleeve is repaired by applying mortar to the casting channel of the sleeve with a mortar dispenser inserted into the casting channel, which upon removing the mortar dispenser from the casting channel calibrates the latter over the entire length of the channel. The mortar dispenser is driven rotating coaxially to the casting channel during the mortar application and, after a defined time, is removed from the casting channel, still rotating. The method is particularly suitable for repairing the inner sleeve of a casting ladle with a slide closure adjoining the ladle spout, maintenance of which is automatically carried out in a maintenance station of the casting facility. Repair of the inner sleeve is also carried out automatically here during the maintenance of the slide closure.

Abstract: A sliding gate for a vessel containing molten metal is provided with a slide housing (1), a slide unit guided longitudinally therein and having a push rod (2), a mounting (5) and a linear drive (6), which is removably fastened in the latter and has a drive rod (4). This drive rod (4) can be connected to the push rod (2) of the slide unit by a coupling (3). The coupling (3) is designed in such a way that, when the linear drive (6) has been pushed into the mounting (5), it automatically couples by a movement of the drive rod (4) towards the slide unit, while it uncouples when the linear drive (6) is removed from the mounting (5), transversely in relation to the direction of movement of the drive rod (4). A locking device (7), which can be actuated by the linear drive (6) and interacts with the mounting (5) is provided here, by means of which the linear drive (6) after being pushed into the mounting (5) can be fixed in the latter and can be unlocked again before it is removed.

  • Publication number: 20180029117
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to a device for repairing the spout sleeve (6) of a metallurgical vessel which is fitted securely within the refractory lining (4, 5) of the vessel (1). According to the invention the sleeve is repaired by applying mortar to the casting channel (7) of the sleeve (6) with a mortar dispenser (9) that can be inserted into the casting channel (7), which upon removing the mortar dispenser from the casting channel calibrates the latter over the entire length of the channel. The mortar dispenser (9) is driven rotating coaxially to the casting channel (7) during the mortar application and, after a defined time, is removed from the casting channel (7), still rotating. The method is particularly suitable for repairing the inner sleeve of a casting ladle with a slide closure adjoining the ladle spout, maintenance of which is automatically carried out in a maintenance station of the casting facility.
