  • Publication number: 20220314677
Abstract: A method of printing on a polymeric article includes applying a decoration-forming deposit on a transfer blanket. The method further includes transferring the decoration-forming deposit from the transfer unit to the polymeric article to provide a decoration on the polymeric article.

  • Patent number: 10501648
Abstract: The present invention provides radiation-curable (UV-curable) inks and coatings for inkjet printing comprising an inert thermoplastic acrylic resin and multifunctional monomers. The inks and coatings can be applied in a single pass printing operation. Furthermore, the inks and coatings are suitable for the printing of food, pharmaceutical and other sensitive packaging materials, particularly of plastic materials. The acrylic polymer (or copolymer) preferably has a molecular weight of 10,000 g/mole, or less, and the ink comprises less than 5 wt % of any blend of monofunctional monomer. The inks and coatings of the invention are particularly suitable for curing by UV-LED radiation.

  • Patent number: 10196037
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle access system (1) having a tracking means (11; 23, 25, 27) for tracking a positional movement pattern of a user (D) relative to a vehicle (3). A controller (9) is provided for controlling the opening and/or closing of a vehicle opening (5). The controller (9) communicates with a storage device (15) and the tracking means (11; 23, 25, 27). The controller (9) has a comparator (17) for comparing the positional movement pattern with one or more pre-defined movement maps stored in the storage device (15). The controller is configured to open the vehicle opening when the comparator (17) determines that the positional movement pattern corresponds to a first of the pre-defined movement maps. Alternatively, or in addition the controller can be configured to close the vehicle opening when the comparator (17) determines that the positional movement pattern corresponds to a second of said pre-defined movement maps.

  • Patent number: 10035457
Abstract: A system (1) for monitoring available space to maneuver a vehicle (3) to align a tow hitch (5) mounted to the vehicle with a trailer coupling (7) mounted to a trailer (9). An imaging system (11, 13, 15) is provided to generate image data. A processor (37) is configured to analyze said image data to identify obstructions proximal to said vehicle and/or to said trailer and to determine if there is sufficient space available to maneuver the vehicle to align the tow hitch with the trailer coupling.

  • Patent number: 9714355
Abstract: Disclosed is a composition such as a pigmented free radical UV-curable inkjet liquid composition for the printing of food packaging materials, which when cured in ambient air produces minimal contamination of the foodstuff. This composition uses non-polymeric photoinitiators having molecular weights less than 500 amu that migrate at levels below the specified SML (specific migration limit).

  • Publication number: 20160052548
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (1) for aligning a tow hitch (5) mounted to a vehicle (3) with a trailer coupling (7) mounted to a trailer (9). An imaging system (11, 13, 15) is provided to generate image data for analysis by a processor (37) to identify first and second feature sets (35, 39) associated with the trailer (9). The processor generates a guidance signal for steering the vehicle (3) at least substantially to align the tow hitch (5) with the trailer coupling (7). When the distance between the vehicle (3) and the trailer (9) is greater than a predefined threshold, the position of the trailer coupling (7) relative to the tow hitch (5) is determined in dependence on said first feature set (35). When the distance between the vehicle (3) and the trailer (9) is less than said predefined threshold, the position of the trailer coupling (7) relative to the tow hitch (5) is determined in dependence on said second feature set (39).
