  • Patent number: 7336204
Abstract: A method for monitoring a number of terminals, particularly parking meters, in which at least first and second adjacent terminals are able to communicate with each other and with a monitoring center, comprises a monitoring protocol according to which the first and second terminals must call each other and, if no call and/or reply is received from the second terminal, the first terminal calls the monitoring center to inform it of an abnormal situation concerning the second terminal.

  • Publication number: 20070100700
Abstract: A parking space payment method and system includes suitable payment means which enable the user to pay a given amount in order to use an authorised parking space for a corresponding length of time. The aforementioned payment means co-operate with suitable processing and communication means in order to provide the user with a specific transaction code. The payment means also cooperates with processing and input means which enable the user to enter the code from a previous transaction, such as to increase the authorised parking duration by any authorised time remaining from the time authorised during the earlier transaction.

  • Publication number: 20060152385
Abstract: The invention concerns a parking terminal (PK) comprising means for accessing at least one distant server (SV) via a predetermined communication network. The terminal further comprises a short-range communication module designed to converse through short-range radio frequency or short-range infrared channel with that of at least one remote terminal (HH) and routing means adapted to receive data coming from the remote terminal through that same channel (radio frequency or infrared) and to retransmit them to the remote server via the communication network and vice-versa.

  • Publication number: 20060129500
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for managing pay parking spaces of the type using a terminal (1, 10) providing, against payment, a parking ticket (2, 20, 21) to a user. The ticket bears an authorized parking time limit corresponding to the payment and is designed to be left in the user's vehicle (3) to enable control thereof by an enforcement officer. The ticket is an electronic ticket (2, 20, 21) such as a transponder and the enforcement officer is equipped with a portable reader (4) enabling the data recorded in the electronic ticket (2, 20, 21) to be controlled by radio signal.

  • Publication number: 20060047567
Abstract: The invention concerns an installation for managing a pay parking facility for vehicles comprising a plurality of vehicle immobilizing devices (1) for immobilizing contravening vehicles, and wherein an unlocking code (8) is delivered to the user (0) after payment of the amount corresponding to the unlocking of the vehicle immobilizing device. Upon a request for unlocking from the user (0), the parking terminal (2) is adapted to set up a session corresponding to the unlocking of the vehicle immobilizing device with the payment means (3), to communicate to the server (4) of the identifier of the immobilizing device to be unlocked after the payment session has been validated while the server (4) is adapted to receive the identifier (7) thus input and to deliver in response the unlocking code (8) associated with the destination of the terminal to unlock the immobilizing device in question.

  • Publication number: 20040051624
Abstract: The enclosure (V) comprises a communication interface (ICV) with outside, means for processing (IDV, OCV) and means for transferring (OMV) the content and/or data concerning said content (C). The processing means (IDV, OCV) establish an authenticating function with homologous authenticating means (IDK) of a key (K) provided with at least an access right, via the communication interface (ICV) of the enclosure and an homologous communication interface (ICK) of the key (K). In case of positive authentication and positive verification of access right, the processing means of the enclosure (IDV, OCV) command the locking/unlocking means (SDV) to open the door (P). When the door is opened, the processing means of the enclosure (IDV, OCV) transfer the content and/or the content-related data derived from the transfer means of the enclosure (OMV) to the key of the enclosure, via the communication interface (ICV) of the enclosure and the homologous communication interface (ICK) of the key (K).
