  • Publication number: 20130289165
Abstract: Reinforced rubber composition based at least (a) on an elastomeric matrix comprising natural rubber as the predominant diene elastomer, (b) on a reinforcing filler comprising carbon black in a weight fraction of more than 50% relative to the total weight of the filler, and (c) on a compound belonging to the families of hydrazides or hydrazones or to the family of amines, wherein the carbon black is dispersed in the elastomeric matrix with a Z value of greater than or equal to 80. This rubber composition is intended, for example, for the manufacture of a semi-finished rubber product intended for a tyre of motor vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20130116376
Abstract: A rubber composition, which can be used for manufacturing tyres, is based on one or more diene elastomers, on one or more reinforcing fillers, and on a crosslinking system. The rubber composition includes particles of one or more thermoplastic materials chosen from thermoplastic materials with melting or softening points varying from 80° C. to 300° C. The rubber composition also includes one or more compatibilizing agents chosen from block copolymers that includes at least one diene elastomer block and at least one thermoplastic block compatible with the one or more thermoplastic materials.

  • Publication number: 20130096230
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a rubber composition for the manufacture of tyres is presented. The composition is based on one or more diene elastomers, one or more reinforcing fillers, and a crosslinking system. The composition includes particles of one or more thermoplastic materials chosen from amorphous thermoplastic materials and semicrystalline thermoplastic materials, with the glass transition temperature of the amorphous thermoplastic material or materials and the melting point of the semicrystalline thermoplastic material or materials varying from 80° C. to 300° C. The particles exhibit a volume-average diameter of less than or equal to 200 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20110152405
Abstract: A diene rubber composition for tires based on at least (i) one diene elastomer, (ii) one reinforcing inorganic filler and (iii) one coupling agent which provides the bonding between the inorganic filler and the elastomer. The inorganic filler comprises at least one silica capable of being obtained by the preparation process of the type comprising the reaction of a silicate with an acidifying agent, whereby a silica suspension is obtained, followed by the separation and the drying of this suspension. The reaction of the silicate with the acidifying agent is carried out according to the following successive stages: (i) an aqueous suspension of precipitated silica, exhibiting a pH of between 2.5 and 5.3, is brought into contact (mixing) with acidifying agent and silicate, in such a way that the pH of the reaction medium is maintained between 2.5 and 5.3, (ii) silicate is added to the reaction medium obtained, so as to increase the pH of the reaction medium up to a value of between 4.7 and 6.3.
