Abstract: Systems and methods for media distribution enable consumers to obtain access to media content, for example without financial payment, while content creators and owners simultaneously achieve above-market financial payments for the corresponding media content. Exemplary media distribution systems utilize a “listen to own” model whereby a consumer is provided downloadable access to an item of media content after streaming the content a selected number of times.
