Abstract: Methods and systems for gaming over a network or communications medium such as via the Internet. In specific embodiments, a real video gaming experience is generated by for a player at a client system from a sequence of real world derived chance events and associated video clips. The server system optionally provides a sequence in an encoded format and the sequence is delivered to the client where the client uses the sequence to create a game of chance for a player.

Abstract: An on-line method for issuing a certificate of authenticity for a collectible to a collector who has personally witnessed the collectible being signed and a verification system for authenticating a suspected signature on an object by scanning the suspected signature and transmitting to a central computer where the suspected signature is compared with a set of authentic reference signatures based on input as to the shape of the object. In embodiments, the collector provides information on the collectible via the Internet to a central computer which stores the information for future reference by potential purchasers of the collectible. The collector must sign a statement on the certificate of authenticity that declares, under penalty of perjury, the information that the collector provided regarding the collectible is correct. Subsequent purchasers can access the central computer via the Internet.

Abstract: A verification system for authenticating a suspected signature on a collectible object by scanning the suspected signature into an originating computer, electronically transmitting the image to a central computer where the suspected signature is compared with a set of authentic reference signatures stored there based on the user's input as to the shape of the object on which the suspected signature is inscribed. The central computer transmits to the originating computer an authentication of the suspected signature or an indication that the suspected signature can not be authenticated. Optionally, a printer can print a certificate of authentication bearing one of two identical serialized holograms and a second identical serialized hologram for attachment to the collectible.
