  • Patent number: 10450990
Abstract: A fuel system for an internal combustion engine is provided, which comprises a first fuel tank, a fuel filter device, arranged between a low pressure pump operated by an electric motor and a high pressure pump, a first fuel conduit, through which the low pressure pump is arranged to supply fuel to the fuel filter device, and a control device, arranged in connection with an electric motor operating the low pressure pump. An overflow conduit is arranged in connection with a deaeration outlet, arranged in the fuel filter device and the first fuel tank, and the control device is arranged to control the electric motor, in such a way that the low pressure pump is active when the internal combustion engine is turned off for a limited period, whereby fuel may flow from the fuel filter device via the deaeration outlet and the overflow conduit, back to the first fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 10436143
Abstract: A method and a system for control of a low-pressure circuit in a fuel system of a vehicle, which circuit is arranged to provide the vehicle's engine with fuel from at least one fuel tank via a pressure change system. The system includes a determination unit to make a determination of a future working point for the engine. The determination unit bases this determination on information about a section of road ahead. The system also has a pump operating unit which operates at least one controllable fuel pump which is part of the low-pressure circuit. The pump operating unit bases this operation on the future working point.

  • Patent number: 10112478
Abstract: A method is provided for estimating a range for a vehicle, where the vehicle includes a combustion engine and a fuel supply system associated with the combustion engine. Vehicle also includes a first main tank for receiving fuel, and a first fuel pump for transfer of fuel from the first main tank to the fuel supply system. The method estimates a range for the vehicle based on data relating to the road ahead of the vehicle and a first measure of residual fuel in the first main tank. The method further controls a required fuel reserve based on the data relating to the road ahead of the vehicle.
