Abstract: A low floor electric bus includes a frame extending longitudinally from a front end to a rear end, the frame having two sidepieces and a plurality of crossmembers extending between and coupled to the sidepieces, wherein the frame has a central section positioned at a lower height relative to the front and/or rear sections. The bus further includes a battery pack mounted to the central section of the frame; a powertrain having an electric motor and a driveshaft, wherein the electric motor is mounted to the rear section of the frame behind a rear axle coupled to the frame and the driveshaft extends from the electric motor to the rear axle; and a cradle coupled to the front section of the frame. A mixed-material cabin is also provided. The cabin includes a passenger cabin with a floor, sidewalls, and ceiling having steel, ceramic, and composite components.

Abstract: The present invention provides an aqueous coating composition comprising by dry weight based on total dry weight of the coating composition, from 2% to 16% a small-particle-size polymeric dispersion of (co)polymeric particles having an average particle size of from 30 to 90 nm, and from 25% to 70% of titanium dioxide particles; from 50% to 100% of the titanium dioxide particles are encapsulated by a polymer shell of (co)polymeric particles.

Abstract: Provided is a pigment composition comprising (i) a plurality of particles of sulfate-process titanium dioxide, (ii) 0.1% to 25% by weight based on the weight of said particles of a water-soluble first polymer that comprises polymerized units of one or more sulfur acid monomer, and (iii) 10% to 200% by weight based on the weight of said particles of a second polymer that at least partially encapsulates said particles.

Abstract: A sharps container for receiving and storing medical sharps and waste materials which prevents hand access to within the container and has a wide access opening. The container (10) comprises a receptacle (11) having an opening which is closable toy a hinged lid (24) which is movable between opened and closed positions. A pivotal tray (16) is mounted at the opening wherein for the opened position of the lid (24) the tray (16) has a rest position at which it is accessible for medical sharps and waste materials to be placed thereon. The tray (16) is then pivotally moveable for disposal of the medical sharps and waste materials therefrom into the receptacle.
