Abstract: An electronic device receives a user input identifying a task requested by a user. Based on an artificial intelligence model trained on information included in a personal knowledge base associated with the user, first one or more actions to be performed to carry out the task by a first application and second one or more actions to be performed to carry out the task by a second application are identified, where at least one of the first one or more actions and at least one of the second one or more actions is not specified by the user input. At least one of the first application or the second application is selected based at least in part on an ability of the first application and the second application to fulfill the task. The task is completed using the selected at least one of the first application or the second application.

The electronic device then performs the one or more actions.
