  • Patent number: 5129411
Abstract: A liquid level control arrangement for a dishwasher. The dishwasher comprises a tub (10) on which dishes are to be placed and in which liquid is to be circulated by means of a circulation pump (27). The circulation pump (27) communicates via a tube-shaped connection (26) with an inlet (25) which is placed in the lower part of a chamber (23) situated at the bottom of the tub. The chamber is at least partly separated from the tub by means of a filter (20) or the like, and also comprises a heating source (31) for warming the liquid. The connection (26), in addition to said inlet (25), has an opening (32) which at least partly is placed above or at the same level as the heat-emitting parts of the heating source (31). The opening (32) has a shape and size such that the surface thereof exposed to the chamber increases when the liquid level in the chamber sinks.

  • Patent number: 4998548
Abstract: A device for a dishwasher comprising a collecting container (11) for dishwater, the container being situated at the bottom of the tub, the container communicating with the inlet side of a circulation pump and with the inlet side of a drain pump. The inlet sides of the circulation pump and of the drain pump are at least partly separated from each other by means of a filter (26). • Patent number: 4969479
Abstract: A dishwasher comprising a washing tub (18), conduits for supplying liquid by jets on articles to be washed in the tub, and surfaces for recollecting the liquid in a receptacle. A circulation pump is arranged to circulate liquid in a system comprising a liquid supplying conduit and a filter unit comprising a fine sieve portion (12a) having a wide, mainly horizontal surface. The horizontal fine sieve portion forms an upper wall for a chamber (11) in which inlet of the circulation pump as well as a heating element (15) for heating the liquid in the receptacle is placed. There is a connecting tube (17) extending through the fine sieve portion (12a) and having an upper end (17b) which is placed above the highest liquid level in the tub during normal operation whereas the lower end (17a) of the connecting tube is placed in the chamber (11) at a point which is so situated that the heating element during operation always is surrounded by liquid.
