Abstract: A method and system for creating hypertext links for all or select proper nouns found in a document or web page on the Internet or world wide web is disclosed. The method and system identifies key terms in a requested document or web page, such as a person or company name, cities, states, and other proper nouns within the natural language text, and marks these terms as hypertext links which when selected offer additional information for that item obtained from information collected and maintained in a knowledge base.
