Abstract: Disclosed herein is a catheter placement apparatus 900 for assisting in the placement of a catheter for administering analgesia intraoperatively in conjunction with spinal and other surgeries. The catheter placement apparatus 900 comprises a guide conduit 903 having a proximal end 904 and a distal end 906. The guide conduit 903 comprises an elongated portion 905 and a delivery arm portion 907 with a bend 935 forming the transition from the elongated portion 905 to the delivery arm portion 907. The elongated portion comprises a first conduit component 910 that is slidingly attachable to a second conduit component 915.

Abstract: A table (10) for an operating room providing a cantilevered over-patient instrument surface (12) that can be swiveled away from the operating field without moving the base (20) of the table. The instrument surface may have two levels (38, 40) with a variable degree of overlap between the levels to form an instrument surface of a desired area. The instrument surface may further have a curved edge (44) so that the proximity of the instrument surface to the operating field does not change as the instrument surface is rotated relative to its base. A sterile drape (60) covers the instrument surface and extends downward to be attached around the table support structure (14). The drape may be formed of two sections (62, 64) having overlapping tail portions (68, 70, 72, 74). The base may include a footpad (24) for a nurse (26) working at the table.

Abstract: A sterile surgical drape is adapted to cover the surfaces of a multiple-tiered table such as is typically used for holding surgical instruments. Those drape sections (300,400) for covering surfaces above the bottom surface (200) are fitted so as to avoid impeding access to and visibility of those surfaces immediately beneath. Clear sections (300) of the drape are provided to extend between tiers for improved visualization from behind the table. Cuffs in the flap top section of the drape (410) are also provided for aiding handling and draping of surgical table by hospital personnel. Hook-and-loop fasteners (310) on the back of the clear middle section (300) are provided to be mated to hook-and-loop fasteners (312) on the under portion of the instrument table.
