  • Patent number: 7635401
Abstract: This system provides an air-ventilating and cleaning element positioned within a housing. The housing contains multiple vents in the housing walls. The vents serve as channels that enable air to flow into and out of the air-ventilating device. The air-ventilating and cleaning element can vary and can range from a simple air ventilator to and an air purifier. The cleaning element can contain a filter element to further facilitate cleaning of the air. The cleaning element can be positioned in the housing on a track or pin to allow for movement of the cleaning element within the housing. Movement of the cleaning element may be desired in order to more efficiently clean air channeled through the device. Because of the ability to move the cleaning element, air flow through the device can be adjusted depending on a particular cleaning application.

  • Patent number: 7234415
Abstract: A multi-purpose furniture structure and system can be used for caring for an animal throughout the life of the animal. For small animals such as puppies, this furniture system can be used as a dwelling in which the owner can train the animal to behave in a desired manner. Animal toys are stored in the animal living space as well. A removable barrier such as a grate or plastic ventilated sheet could cover a front opening to prevent undesirable movement of the animal in and out of the furniture structure. Animals can use a detachable ramp member to climb to the top of the furniture structure. For larger or older animals, the furniture structure can serve a bed or as a means to help the animal get into the bed of the owner. The furniture structure can form a bed for animals of all ages. The bed can be positioned adjacent an owner's bed.

  • Patent number: 7229171
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a removable magnetic clasp for eyeglasses. The eyeglasses have a right temple bar and a left temple bar pivotally attached to an eyeglasses frame body. The magnetic clasp comprises: a first connector and a second connector; a first magnet being positioned on the first connector and a second magnet being positioned on the second connector. A channel extends through a portion of each connector and the channel is configured to so as to allow a temple bar to slide through the channel. The removable magnetic clasp, when attached to eyeglasses, allows for the first and second magnets to remain in attractive magnetic communication when the temple bars are closed but separated by clothing material, the attractive magnetic communication imparting a gripping force on the clothing material sufficient enough to substantially prevent relative movement between the temple bars and the clothing material.

  • Patent number: 7114806
Abstract: An eyeglasses assembly comprising at least one magnetic hinge that holds a removable, auxiliary eyeglasses attachment onto eyeglasses. The magnetic hinge allows the user to pivot the auxiliary eyeglass attachment into an “up” position when not in use. The magnetic hinge also disengages to allow the auxiliary eyeglass attachment to be removed from the eyeglasses when desired. Moreover, the magnetic hinge holds the auxiliary eyeglasses attachment in place after the user rotates the auxiliary attachment into the “up” position. The eyeglasses assembly additionally comprises magnets that secure the auxiliary eyeglass attachment to the eyeglasses when in the “down” position and in use.

  • Patent number: 7101103
Abstract: An improved illuminated writing instrument comprises a writing element, a lighting element and an attaching element. The writing and lighting elements are secured to each other via the attaching element. The attaching element comprises a combination dual clip and a retainer clip. A dual opening clip attaches the writing instrument and the illuminating instrument such that the two instruments form one illuminated writing instrument. The invention further comprises a magnetic retainer clip to secure the illuminated writing instrument as desired by the user. In operation, the force from the magnetic field of the retainer magnet will draw the arm to the magnet. The force of the magnetic field is an amount that will secure the arm to the magnet thereby creating the mechanism that will provide the securing capabilities of the retainer clip. This clip will have the capability of securing the illuminated writing instrument as desired by the user.

  • Patent number: 6848787
Abstract: An eyeglasses clasp for maintaining eyeglasses on a clothing material. The clasp comprises at least one magnetic means engaged with the eyeglasses temple bars that align with each other but not with the eyeglasses frame body midpoint when the temple bars are closed. The magnets are in attractive magnetic communication when the temple bars are closed. The clasp is used by pivoting one of the temple bars into the closed position. The frame body and closed temple bar are then positioned on one side of a clothing material. The second temple bar is then pivoted into the closed position such that it is on the other side of the clothing material. With the temple bars closed, the magnets are in attractive magnetic communication and impart a gripping force on the article of clothing. The gripping force substantially prevents relative movement between the temple bars and the clothing material.

  • Publication number: 20040183993
Abstract: An eyeglasses temple bar clasp for maintaining eyeglasses on a material such as clothing. Clasp comprises temple bars comprising magnetic material such that the temple bars magnetically attract each other through the material when the temple bars are closed. The clasp is used by pivoting one of the temple bars into the closed position. The frame body and closed temple bar are then positioned on one side of the material. The second temple bar is then pivoted into the closed position such that it is on the other side of the material. With the temple bars closed, the temple bars impart a gripping force on the material, thus clasping the eyeglasses to the material.
