Patent number: 7773606Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a network element synchronizes a number of clocks within the system while supporting multiple independent timing domains. The network element includes a local clock, which is free-running and is not necessarily synchronized with an external reference, that synchronously provides a local time value to the slave and master interfaces of each timing domain. Each slave interface of each timing domain independently determines timing information based on a received master clock synchronization event and the value of the local time when that synchronization event was received. The timing information is distributed to the master interfaces of the appropriate timing domain, and each master interface calculates an adjusted synchronization event based on the received timing information and the value of the local time when that timing information was received. The adjusted synchronization events are transmitted out of the network element to an external slave interface.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2008Date of Patent: August 10, 2010Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Iouri Dobjelevski, Darwin N. Publication number: 20070017529Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, an apparatus used for collecting fluids during a medical procedure includes a fluid collection pouch having an open end, an inflatable bladder substantially surrounding a perimeter of the open end, and a pump coupled to the inflatable bladder. The pump is operable to inflate the inflatable bladder. According to another embodiment of the invention, an apparatus used for collecting fluids during a medical procedure includes a fluid collection pouch having an open end with a perimeter, a channel surrounding approximately one half of the perimeter of the open end, an inflatable bladder disposed within the channel, and a pump disposed within the channel and coupled to the inflatable bladder. The pump is operable to inflate the inflatable bladder.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2006Publication date: January 25, 2007Applicant: Microtek Medical, Inc.Inventors: Dan Lee, Michael Gil, Lewis Cox, Lloyd Cooper

Patent number: 7134503Abstract: The wellbore pump of the present invention comprises a plunger having passage means which may be open or closed by a valve operated by a piston which is biased in the open position by a spring of selected strength such that the wellbore pressure may overcome the spring to close the valve when the accumulated hydrostatic pressure reaches a certain value. When the valve closes the reservoir pressure forces the plunger to the surface and causes the accumulated liquids to be pumped out of the wellbore. A stem extending from the top of the piston engages a top plate and causes the valve to open when the plunger reaches the top of the wellbore. Means is provided whereby the valve opens when it reaches the top of the wellbore and a latch may be provided to retain the plunger from returning to the bottom of the well.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2006Date of Patent: November 14, 2006Assignee: Natural Lift Systems Inc.Inventor: Dan Lee

Patent number: 5685392Abstract: A powered lift platform apparatus is disclosed having a fixed support structure and two independently operable platforms which move in both the vertical and horizontal direction, for use with transport containers, such as trailers, shipping containers or rail cars. Each platform comprises an extended work surface or walkway and two moveable end platforms which extend perpendicularly to the extended work surface. Each platform may be independently raised and lowered, and each may be moved laterally toward the opposite platform. The distance between the two platforms and the length of the end platforms, coupled with the range of lateral movement of each platform, are such that the free ends of opposing end platforms can be juxtapositioned to create a rectangular pathway for workers to completely circle the transport container.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1994Date of Patent: November 11, 1997Assignee: Vertex Systems Group, Inc.Inventors: Garry Phillips, Dan Lee, Herbert Worm, Chris Phillips, Lewis Hardwick, Charles Altendorf, Fabian Tew
