Abstract: A method and system for real-time object and facial recognition is provided. Multiple video or camera data feeds are used to collect information about a location and transmitted to a distributed, web-based framework. The system is adaptive and compiles the metadata from the visual queries and stores the metadata and images in multiple relational databases. The metadata is used heuristically, wherein the rank-ordering of matching-candidates is neural; thereby, reducing the number of comparisons (object or face) needed for recognition, and increasing the speed of the recognition. Employing multiple, web-linked servers and databases improves recognition speed and removes the need for each user to create and maintain a facial recognition system, allowing users to consume and contribute to a vast pool of private or public, geo-located data.

Abstract: A system for and method of securely controlling access to files on a server are disclosed herein. The method may include receiving an upload of a file to the server, receiving an upload of a first image of an object, using computer vision algorithms to extract first information about the object from the first image, associating the first information with the file, and restricting access to the file. The method may further include receiving an upload of a second image of the object, using the computer vision algorithms to extract second information about the object from the second image, determining that the second information and the first information match within a threshold, and providing access to the file.
