  • Patent number: 9280768
Abstract: A transaction system including at least two transaction communicators, at least one of which is a mobile communicator, at least one of the at least two transaction communicators having sequential visually sensible indicia generation functionality operative to generate a time sequence of indicia which provides at least transaction data and at least one of the at least two transaction communicators having sequential visually sensible indicia receiving functionality and transaction data extraction functionality capable of extracting at least the transaction data from the time sequence of particular indicia, whereby a time sequence of indicia which provides at least transaction data is transmitted from one of the at least two transaction communicators to another of the at least two transaction communicators.

  • Publication number: 20150346595
Abstract: A particle-containment shield is provided. The particles-containment shield includes a containment structure that defines an air inlet to receive air heated by a projection lamp from the outlet of the projection-lamp module and defines an air outlet to vent air heated by the projection lamp away from the projection lamp. The containment structure is sealed intermediate the air inlet and the air outlet such that air heated by the projection lamp that enters through the air inlet exits the containment structure through the air outlet. The containment structure defines a length, a width, and a height of the particle-containment shield. The particle-containment shield includes one or more deflection members is arranged in the containment structure to collectively block all straight line paths from the air inlet to the air outlet so as to inhibit projection lamp particles from exiting the air outlet upon projection lamp rupture.

  • Publication number: 20080088804
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for diffuser vibration to reduce speckle in a laser display device are provided. In some embodiments, a coil is operatively coupled to the diffuser to generate the desired vibrations in the diffuser. In some embodiments, an air jet may be operatively coupled to the diffuser such that vibrations from the air jet are transferred to the diffuser. In other embodiments, parasitic vibrations from other components in the laser display device may be used to vibrate the diffuser without requiring an additional motor dedicated to only vibrating the diffuser.
