  • Patent number: 10711907
Abstract: The present disclosure describes embodiments of control valve positioner/controller devices, control valve positioner/controller mounting devices, and control valve systems that enable rapid exchange and configuration of a replacement positioner/controller to a control valve system. Embodiments allow for rapid replacement of faulty/failed control valve positioners/controllers to minimize production downtimes and associated costs.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5529633
Abstract: An apparatus for depositing a substance includes a rotating mandrel assembly with a mandrel having a deposition surface exposed to the vapor so that the substance is deposited on the deposition surface and having a base having a plurality of radiator fins extending therefrom. A plurality of receptor fins interleave with the radiator fins and provide heat exchange to the receptor fins to cool the mandrel during deposition of the substance on the deposition surface of the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 5486380
Abstract: A method for depositing a substance includes the following steps: producing a vapor containing constituents of the substance; providing a rotating mandrel assembly that includes a mandrel, having a deposition surface exposed to the vapor so that the substance is deposited on the deposition surface, and a base having a plurality of radiator fins extending therefrom; interleaving a plurality of receptor fins with the radiator fins; and providing heat exchange to the receptor fins to cool the mandrel during deposition of the substance on the deposition surface of the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 5386967
Abstract: A coupling for use in a rotary Ball valve having a spherical ball with a passageway therethrough controlling the flow of fluid through the valve. The coupling is particularly suited for use with non-metallic, for example, ceramic, spherical balls which are rotated by torque applied to a metallic actuator shaft extending from the valve body. The coupling includes a plurality of depressions and protrusions formed at the interface of the non-metallic and metallic components. The depressions and protrusions are positioned away from the central axis of the spherical ball. A cushion is interposed between the metallic and non-metallic components to further disperse the force applied to the non-metallic component so that as torque is applied to the shaft the non-metallic component is rotated without breakage thereof.
