The product dispenser can include a controller in communication with the reader and user interface, and operable to execute a set of instructions to receive from the reader identification information associated with a consumer. The controller can also be operable to execute a set of instructions operable to retrieve consumer information based at least in part on the identification information, and provide product selection information at the user interface based at least in part on the consumer information.

Abstract: A pillowcase having two complementary sections are provided with multiple holes on the edges of the two sections or adjacent to the edges of the sections. A first hole is dimensioned to accept a pillow, as is common practice in the art, and can be the length of a transverse edge of the pillow case, or substantially the length of a transverse edge. A second hole is disposed on a second portion of the pillowcase, opposite to the pillow opening, and is optionally the size of the width of a human hand, such as between 3 inches and 6 inches in length. The second hole permits a user to access the interior of the pillowcase and simplifies insertion of a pillow and orientation of a pillow within the interior of the pillowcase.

Abstract: A highly nonlinear optical fiber having an improved stimulated Brillouin scattering threshold is provided. The fiber includes a central core region made substantially from silica doped with aluminum, a trench region surrounding the central core region, and a silica cladding surrounding the trench region. The refractive index profile of the fiber is optimized. A refractive index difference of the central core region relative to the cladding (?n+) is less than 26×10?3, and more preferably at or near 21×10?3. A refractive index difference of the trench region relative to the cladding (?n?) is less than ?5×10?3. The trench region is preferably doped with fluorine. The aluminum doping level of the central core region is preferably less than 14 wt % Al. A fiber doped with aluminum having this refractive index profile exhibits a significantly higher figure of merit (Pth?Leff) than conventional germanium-doped fibers.
