Abstract: An improved blending apparatus for manufactured wood products with a rotating blending drum or cylinder with a pattern of alternating flights of different configurations extending from the interior of the drum. The flights lift the strands as the drum rotates to different heights before the strands free-fall back to the bottom of the drum. One flight is shorter, and may be trapezoidal in cross-section. The second flight is taller, and may have a “bull-nose” configuration with substantially vertical sides. During operation, the design of the bull-nose flight tends to hold more strands and to carry them closer to the top of the drum before the strands drop and fall. In contrast, the shorter height and angled sides of the trapezoidal flight tends to hold fewer strands and to not carry them as high along the side before strands drop and fall.

The apparatus further includes a fluid transmission system in fluid communication with the chamber and the fluid channel of the fluid delivery member for circulating the fluid from the chamber through the fluid channel of the fluid delivery member. A method of cleaning an instrument is also provided.

Abstract: A process for recovery oil includes recovering an oil/water mixture from an oil well. Thereafter, the method includes separating oil from the oil/water mixture to produce an oil product and produced water having dissolved silica therein. The produced water is directed to an evaporator and produces steam and a concentrated brine. The method or process entails mixing a precipitant or crystallizing reagent with the produced water or the concentrated brine and causing the silica to precipitate from the produced water or the concentrated brine. Steam produced by the evaporator is condensed to form a distillate which is directed to steam generator. At the steam generator the distillate is heated to produce steam which is injected into an injection well, giving rise to the formation of the oil/water mixture.

The shutter opens to reveal the display during activation. The enclosure obscures the facade and the shutter from recognition when the measurement device is not in the active state.

Abstract: A hip pouch storage device that converts easily to a secure baby carrier. The hip pouch has a first end, a second end, a top surface, an inner surface and an outer surface. The hip pouch includes an adjustable length waist strap that attaches to the first and second ends of the hip pouch. The hip pouch includes a first pocket located on the inner surface of the pouch. A support sling that has an inner surface, an outer surface, a first side, a second side, a lower attachment point and first and second upper attachment points is provided. The support sling is fixedly attached to the interior surface of the first pocket and includes an adjustable length neck strap attached to the first and second upper attachment points of the support sling. A neck pad may be provided to fit slidably upon the neck strap. In use, the hip pouch is attached to the wearer about the waist with the waist strap and the support sling is extended from the first pocket and the neck strap placed over the wearer's head about the neck.
