    Abstract: A clinical care recliner with a support frame, a lazy-tong linkage, a seat, sidearms, back-rest and a leg-rest. The sidearms laterally confine the patient and are removable so that any spilled body fluids between the seat and the sidewall can be cleaned away. The removable sidearms also facilitate lateral transfer of a patient into and out of the recliner without lifting. The back-rest has a swing-out support for stabilizing the back-rest in Trendelenburg position.
