  • Patent number: 9247259
Abstract: A method for processing data includes receiving an image sequence including a succession of image frames for encoding in an image sequence file. A target size of the image sequence file is specified. The image sequence file is generated by encoding the succession of the image frames using at least one variable compression parameter, which is adjusted during the encoding responsively to the target size. The image sequence file is outputted for transmission over a communication link.

    Assignee: FLASH NETWORKS LTD.
Inventors: Shaul Rozen, Dan Raudnitz, Yosef Wexlur
  • Patent number: 8145656
Abstract: A method for matching media objects includes receiving a plurality of reference objects, and computing respective reference feature vectors (104, 106) of one or more of the reference image frames (86, 88) in each of the reference objects. Upon receiving a query object, a respective query feature vector (110) of at least one of the query image frames is computed. The reference feature vectors are searched to find one or more candidate objects among the reference objects, such that a respective reference feature vector of one of the reference image frames in each of the one or more candidate objects matches the query feature vector. At least one additional reference image frame is compared to at least one additional query image frame in order to determine that one of the candidate objects is a match for the query object.

  • Patent number: 8073275
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for image adaptation includes accepting a digitally-represented input image and a target size requirement. The input image is modified by optimally determining at least one of a resolution of the input image and a quality of the input image, the quality defining an amount of information allocated to represent each pixel value of the input image, so as to produce a compressed output image meeting the target size requirement.

  • Publication number: 20110235910
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for image processing and image subject matching. A circuit and system may be used for matching/correlating an object/subject or person present (i.e. visible within) within two or more images. An object or person present within a first image or a first series of images (e.g. a video sequence) may be characterized and the characterization information (i.e. one or a set of parameters) relating to the person or object may be stored in a database, random access memory or cache for subsequent comparison to characterization information derived from other images.
