  • Publication number: 20080102420
Abstract: An implant comprising two internal anti-rotational features. One anti-rotational feature is adapted to engage a driving tool, while the other anti-rotational feature is adapted to engage an abutment. An implant abutment system is provided with an angled abutment adapted to mate with one of the anti-rotational features. A second, straight abutment is adapted to engage with the other anti-rotational feature. An abutment is provided with resilient fingers to interface with the implant and provide tactile and audible feedback indicating when the abutment is properly seated. An abutment screw extends through the abutment and engages the implant bore distal of the stem of the abutment. The abutment screw limits axial movement of the abutment relative to the implant. A driving tool comprising one of at least retention structure and visual alignment indicia is provided to facilitate screwing the implant into a patient's bone.

  • Publication number: 20070092854
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a rapid prototype overmold for locating a dental implant analog in a modified stone model for use in creating a tooth prosthesis is provided. An impression of a mouth having a first installation site that has a dental implant and a gingival healing abutment with at least one informational marker installed is taken. A stone model based on the impression is prepared. The model is scanned. A three-dimensional computer model of the installation site on a CAD program using data from the scan is created. The at least one informational marker is determined to gather information about the location of the dental implant. Abutment dimensional information based on the three-dimensional image and the at least one informational marker is developed. Overmold rapid prototype dimensional information based on the three-dimensional image is developed. The overmold rapid prototype adapted to fit over the modified stone model is fabricated.

  • Publication number: 20050191600
Abstract: An implant delivery system includes a carrier that is attached to an implant. The carrier includes a main body having a lower portion to be attached to the implant and an upper portion. The upper portion includes an internally threaded section having a polygonal internal cross-section. The polygonal cross-section engages a tool that applies torque to install the implant into bone. The threaded section receives a threaded portion of a secondary component to be coupled to the carrier after the implant has been installed. One secondary component is a gingival healing component. Thus, the combination of the carrier and the gingival healing component acts as a healing abutment after the carrier has been used to install the implant.

  • Publication number: 20030089885
Abstract: Low molecular weight acetal, alcohol, O-acylated alcohol and ester compounds are identified that block the odor of specific carboxylic acids especially propionic acid, butyric acid, isovaleric acid 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid and hexanoic acid. These compounds exhibit surprisingly high odor blocking properties and are therefore useful additives to compositions such as: a) personal care products including underarm deodorant and antiperspirant, hair shampoo and conditioner, toilet soap, and skin lotion; b) fabric care products including laundry detergents, fabric conditioners, and fabric fresheners; c) pet care products including deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and d) home care products including air fresheners, carpet fresheners, surface cleaners and hand wash dish detergent.

  • Patent number: 4239131
Abstract: A container having an opening in its top by which it may be filled with liquid and an opening in its bottom through which liquid may be expelled. The bottom opening is covered by the distal end part of a first rod which is surrounded by a gasket; the first rod is connected to a first piston within a first cylinder. The first cylinder forms a second rod which is connected to a second piston within a second cylinder. The rods and pistons are so arranged that a downward force on the second rod causes the first rod to rise allowing liquid to be dispensed from the bottom opening.
