  • Publication number: 20140290848
Abstract: The invention disclosed herein is a method to prevent corrosion and deterioration by weather and environmental factors on mufflers by covering the mufflers with flexible moldable laminate shells. The flexible moldable laminate shells are composed of fiberglass reinforced plastic laminate impregnated with polyester resin. The flexible moldable laminate shells can be cut to size with scissors and molded to the muffler or any other object to be protected. After exposure to natural or artificial ultraviolet light, the flexible moldable laminate shells harden into an impermeable layer to protect the muffler from deterioration.

  • Publication number: 20140295015
Abstract: The invention disclosed herein is a device to prevent damage from molten plastic to electrical wiring, heater bands and insulation of an injection molding machine. Specifically, the device consists of a flat metal disc with an aperture in the center which attaches to the distal end of the nozzle housing of an injection molding machine. When the nozzle of the injection molding machine extends through the aperture of the flat metal disc to inject molten plastic into a mold, the flat metal disc prevents molten plastic from entering the nozzle housing and damaging the electrical wiring, heater bands and insulation of the injection molding machine.

  • Patent number: 5112661
Abstract: This invention relates to a machine insulation jacket assembly which can be mounted on an injection heater barrel utilized in plastic molding machines that operate to handle high temperature molded plastic for forming the into molded plastic parts. The machine insulation jacket assembly includes a primary jacket assembly used in conjunction with an end cover jacket assembly to be mounted about and enclose the ejection heater barrel. The primary jacket assembly includes a main support body member interconnected in a mounted condition through a plurality of connector strap members. The main support body member is provided with outer and inner wall sections having an insulation body section mounted therebetween. The connector strap members are operable in order to engage and hold the main support body member in a clamped and sealed condition about the injection heater barrel.
