  • Patent number: 10005422
Abstract: A sideseat includes a sideseat base, turntable, posterior frame and backrest frame. The sideseat posterior frame is rotatably coupled to the sideseat base through the turntable. The turntable is positioned so that the sideseat turntable and combined frame components move from a deployed position to a locked position in response to an applied force.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 12, 2015
Date of Patent: June 26, 2018
    Inventors: Kevin Gallagher, Dan Sjoquist
  • Patent number: 9758066
Abstract: A harness and restraint system for side facing seats, which is asymmetric and unique for each side of the vehicle. The absence of a leading shoulder strap minimizes neck and cervical injury in the event of impact from the front of the vehicle, such impact being the most likely direction of impact. The combination of internally mounted automatic locking restraint and fixed or automatic locking lap belt and asymmetric harness geometry captures the trailing shoulder reducing rotation and also provides restraint for the pelvis and torso during lateral impacts.

  • Publication number: 20120019032
Abstract: A chair includes a chair base and seat frame extending upwardly from the chair base. The chair includes an interlock assembly, and an infant chair repeatably moveable between stowed and deployed positions with the chair base. The interlock assembly restricts and allows the ability of the infant chair to move between the stowed and deployed positions. The interlock assembly restricts the ability of the chair base to rotate in response to the infant chair being in the deployed position.
