  • Patent number: 11753576
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for inhibiting the agglomeration of gas hydrates, comprising the injection of an anti-agglomerant comprising a N,N-dialkyl-ammoniumalkyl fatty acid amide represented by the formula (I) wherein R1 is an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 7 to 21 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 are each independently an alkyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or together form an optionally substituted ring having 5 to 10 ring atoms, wherein the ring may carry up to 3 substituents, R4 is hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R5 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 17 carbon atoms and A is an alkylene group having two or three carbon atoms, into a fluid comprising gas, water and oil under conditions prone to the formation of gas hydrates, wherein the N,N-dialkyl-ammoniumalkyl fatty acid amide represented by the formula (I) is produced by the condensation reaction of a fatty acid with an N,N-dialkylamino alkyl amine and subsequent neutralization

  • Publication number: 20220409920
Abstract: A phototherapy system for treating a user can include an applicator, a controller, and a communication cable configured to couple the applicator and the controller. The applicator can include a light source, a thermal sensor, and a fan. The controller can be in communication with the applicator. The controller can be configured to receive a predetermined treatment regimen to be applied to the user via the applicator. A method for treating skin presenting psoriasis includes providing a phototherapy system. The user can select a skin type on the controller. The use can place the applicator adjacent to the skin presenting psoriasis, eczema, or vitiligo. The user can receive a light therapy treatment from the applicator, whereby the psoriasis, eczema, or vitiligo has been treated.

  • Patent number: 11202859
Abstract: A cassette with free flow prevention for use with an ambulatory pump. The cassette includes a free flow prevention clamp and a housing. The free flow prevention clamp includes a clamping section having a first side and a second side, a first elongate section extending from the first side, and a second elongate section extending from the second side. The housing supports the free flow prevention clamp and defines a channel for receiving a tube. The elongate sections extend parallel to the channel and the clamping section extends across the channel. The free flow prevention clamp is configurable within the housing in an open condition that allows fluid flow through the tube when force is applied to one of the elongate sections and in a closed condition that prevents fluid flow through the tube when the force is removed from the elongate sections.

  • Patent number: 11090426
Abstract: An ambulatory pump and a battery compartment for use in an ambulatory pump. The ambulatory pump includes a pump, a controller coupled to the pump for controlling the pump to deliver fluid to a patient, and a battery compartment electrically coupled to the pump and the controller. The battery compartment defines a cavity for alternately receiving a battery pack and a plurality of household batteries. A flex guide is positioned within the cavity. The flex guide has a compressed state and a non-compressed state where a profile of the flex guide has a height that is greater than half the insertion depth of the household batteries in the non-compressed state and that is less than half the insertion depth in the compressed state.
