The controller is in communication with the charging device and includes a processor and tangible, non-transitory memory on which is recorded instructions to provide a notification to the vehicle operator when the electronic device is in the bin and the triggering event occurs. The triggering event may be a transition of a vehicle electrical power system to an ignition off mode. The charging device may be an inductive charging device.
