  • Patent number: 6520750
Abstract: A pumping apparatus for delivering water upwardly from a holding area and over a holding area bank includes an apparatus base; a water drawing pipe having a pipe intake end and a pipe discharge end and being mounted to the apparatus base and extendable from the apparatus base; an impeller rotatably mounted within the drawing pipe discharge end; a hydraulic motor drivably connected to the impeller at the drawing pipe discharge end; a hydraulic pump having a pump intake side and a pump output side; a flexible hydraulic supply hose connected to the pump output side and extending along the drawing pipe to the hydraulic motor; a flexible hydraulic return hose extending from the hydraulic motor along the drawing pipe to the pump intake side; a segmented hose track having a longitudinal track passageway through which the supply and return hoses extend and having a minimum bend radius great enough to prevent the supply and return hoses from kinking.

  • Patent number: 6447260
Abstract: A pumping apparatus for delivering water upwardly from a holding area and over a holding area bank includes a trailer having wheels and a trailer bed; a composite water drawing pipe including structure for telescoping from a shorter pipe transport length to a longer pipe deployment length to access water at lower levels in the holding area; a water drawing pipe movement mechanism including a mechanism for moving the drawing pipe between a transport position on top of the trailer bed and a deployed position substantially behind and angling downwardly from the trailer bed into water in the holding area. The composite water delivery pipe preferably includes a wider outer pipe and a narrower inner pipe, at least a portion of the narrower inner pipe being slidably retained within the wider outer pipe, the narrower inner pipe being mounted on an annular guiding carriage extending radially between the outer pipe and the inner pipe.

  • Patent number: 6210125
Abstract: A water system includes a reciprocating pump operated by pedal and motor delivered solar power, including one-way engagement clutch elements preventing hazardous pedal movement and potential motor damage. The pumpstand includes a housing in which a foot pedal and a drive shaft rotate. An eccentric pin, rotating with the drive shaft, moves a connecting rod, which in turn causes a pushrod to oscillate vertically. The pushrod extends into a pressure-tight chamber formed above the rising main (well pipe). A pumprod connected to the pushrod extends to move a conventional plunger through vertical oscillations. A flywheel is attached to the drive shaft, and a counterweight is mounted on the flywheel diametrically opposite the eccentric pin. The radial distance from the drive shaft to the counterweight can be adjusted. A discharge pipe extends from the pressure-tight chamber to an elevated or pressurized storage tank.

  • Patent number: 6113356
Abstract: A placement and orienting apparatus for a pump and water passing pipe assembly includes a wheeled trailer supporting the pump and water passing pipe assembly; an upper frame structure; a lower frame structure; a turntable bearing assembly positioned between and interconnecting the upper and lower frame assemblies and permitting rotation of the upper frame structure relative to the lower frame structure; a motor drivably connected to one of the upper frame structure, the lower frame structure and the turntable bearing assembly to rotate the upper frame structure and the trailer relative to the lower frame structure and the ground; and at least one upright hydraulic cylinder having a cylinder lower end connected to the upper frame structure and having a cylinder upper end connected to the trailer to drive the upper and lower frame assemblies downwardly together from the trailer so that the lower frame structure makes contact with the ground and elevates the trailer from the ground.
