  • Publication number: 20200049235
Abstract: An energy scavenging device for increasing bi-pedal locomotion efficiency in powered exoskeletons, passive exoskeletons, & bi-pedal robots. The present inventive device, the modular gravitational energy belt (MGEB) includes a gravitational energy scavenging midsection which mechanically drives lower extremities. A double gear reduction drive unit is attached from the midsection to the upper-body for capturing gravitational potential energy generated via the shifting of upper body mass prior to each stride. This direct mechanical energy is then transferred via a bowden cable & tube system for driving lower extremities which are passively propped up in standing position with struts or springs. The method of mechanical energy transfer for lower extremities can be comprised of any well-known mechanical devices for transmitting mechanical force or energy.

  • Publication number: 20120312015
Abstract: A thermoelectric hydrogen hybrid vehicle for use with fossil fuel, the thermoelectric hydrogen hybrid vehicle has a closed loop steam engine. The steam engine's boiler is a high temperature electrolysis unit. Inside the internal combustion engines exhaust heat is directly funneled into heating the high temperature electrolysis boiler. The steam engines electrical current generated through an alternator is then stored in a battery bank and then used for sustained current for electrolysis in the high temperature electrolysis boiler. Furthermore a braking mechanism is hooked up to the alternator for electrical generation when braking to be stored in a battery bank which is then used for electrolysis.

  • Publication number: 20120268913
Abstract: A light diffuser for use on a camera strobe/flash unit either on camera or off. The diffuser has a main body with a base and is composed of a non-transparent material. The diffuser splits the single light source into two directions sending light into a pair of wings/cowls that are removably mounted to the main body. Inside the diffuser main body is a light-splitting reflector with a reflective surface to add an amount of specular and focused light towards the two cowls. The wings/cowls create two soft light sources. Further, the wings/cowls may have other shapes, colors, features such as holes, outlets, etc., to create additional light sources of soft light. The wings/cowls may also be colored to adjust the projected diffused light therefrom. The base of the half-cylindrical main body may include a plurality of contact arms adapted to grip the photographic light source.
