Patent number: 8480452Abstract: A seamless athletic bra includes different regions with different levels of support. The bra is formed from layers of material adhered together. Altering the types of materials comprising the layers in a region changes the level of support in that region as compared with other regions of the bra. A first region having the lowest level of support is found in a back panel and in the molded cups. A second region having a medium level of support is found in the front portion of the strap. A third region having a high level of support is found in a framework that follows the contours of the molded cups and in a back portion of the strap.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2012Date of Patent: July 9, 2013Assignee: NIKE, Inc.Inventors: Dana Reinisch, Susan L. Sokolowski

Publication number: 20130000022Abstract: Cold weather garments include one or more zones with increased thermally insulative and/or thermally resistive properties. Such garments reflect different gender needs. Such garments can allow wearers to maintain a necessary or desired degree of warmth with decreased garment weight and bulk. Methods of making such garments also are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2012Publication date: January 3, 2013Applicant: Nike, Inc.Inventors: Susan Sokolowski, Dana Reinisch

Publication number: 20100305447Abstract: A finger mounted acoustic sensor. Various embodiments of the finger mounted acoustic sensors include sensors mounted within a casing designed to fit between fingers. The sensor may be rotated with respect to the casing. Other embodiments include mounting tubes for wearing on a finger. Sensors are embedded in the tube and on the rings such that they are easily positioned using technician's fingers. Other embodiments include rings for mounting sensors on and for steadying the sensors. The hand and finger mounted sensors may be used to provide necessary pressure to the sensor and yet provide a sensor that may be manipulated using hand and finger motion. In other embodiments sensors having a local disconnect are disclosed. Such disconnects may be attached to the clothing of a medical professional, attached via a wrist or armband or the like. Various sensor packages may be accompanied by the use of a flat or flex cable to minimize the torque necessary to manipulate the sensor.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2009Publication date: December 2, 2010Applicant: Blacktoe Medical III, Inc.Inventors: Evan M. Dudik, Ron Schutz, William A. Beck, JR., Dana Reinisch, Laurence A. Daane, Scott S. Corbett, III, Joshua K. Hoyt, Eric Park, Doug Cooke

Patent number: 7435155Abstract: An athletic bra having a unitary, contiguous framework made of engineered laminated material and molded cups provides lightweight, breathable support and motion control. The framework comprises stretch, non-stretch and reinforcement zones in different areas of the bra and includes an integrated chest band, shoulder straps and a front exoskeleton onto which the molded cups are attached. The exoskeleton comprises an adjustable compression strap extending across the front and downward to a front central point of the chest band. The compression band provides adjustable compression and support and full separation of the breasts. The molded cups and exoskeleton achieve both encapsulation of each breast and compression of the breasts for motion control. The adjustment areas of the compression strap, the shoulder straps, and the back closure area provided with a robust hook which is selectively received into a series of adjustment slots or aligned perforations.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2005Date of Patent: October 14, 2008Assignee: Nike, Inc.Inventors: Dana A. Reinisch, Jorge E. Carbo, Jr., Dobriana Gheneva
