  • Publication number: 20090113623
Abstract: A lifting sling for lifting a disabled/incapacitated person from one seat to another, or for lifting that person from a first position to a second position. The sling comprises a fabric panel having a body portion for positioning under the person's buttocks and lower back and a pair of leg portions extending from the lower end of the body, the legs portions being crossed over each other and passed under the person's legs, such that handles on the leg portions meet handles on the respective opposite side of the lower end of the body. The person can then be lifted by two or more persons, by each person taking at least one brought-together handle or another handle at the top end of the body.

  • Patent number: 7123673
Abstract: A system for transmitting digital information over a synchronous network includes at least one source node and at least one sink node both coupled with the synchronous network. The source node provides source information sampled at a source sample rate (Fsi) to the synchronous network in the form of digital information. The synchronous network operates on a network master clock rate (Fn) with a frequency that may be higher, lower or equal to the source sample rate (Fsi). The digital information is transmitted over the network to the sink node. The sink node processes the digital information to generate synthesized source information.

The source node provides source information sampled at a source sample rate (Fsi) to the synchronous network in the form of digital information. The source information may include blocks of multi-channel data. The synchronous network operates on a network master clock rate (Fn) with a frequency that may be higher, lower or equal to the source sample rate (Fsi). The digital information is transmitted over the network to the sink node. Digital information representative of a portion of a block of multi-channel data may be transmitted separately. The sink node processes the digital information to generate synthesized source information. Where portions of blocks of multi-channel data are transmitted separately, the sink node may combine the separate portions to generate synthesized complete blocks of multi-channel data.

  • Patent number: 4041386
Abstract: A multifunctional circuit analyzer is disclosed which is capable of determining the complete signature of an unknown electrical signal. The circuit analyzer utilizes a high and low peak detection circuit and an analog to digital converter to determine the outer limits of the signal. The high and low threshold voltages are selected between the limits of the signal. Each time the unknown electrical signal passes through the preset high or low threshold voltage, a high or low threshold digital signal occurs. A logic circuit operates on these high and low threshold digital signals and activates the start and stop gate signals. These gate signals allow a time base signal to pass through a gate circuit into a series of decade counters. The information in the counters are thereafter transferred into decoders and then multiplexed to a display.
