  • Patent number: 7927200
Abstract: An active crop residue spreader for an agricultural combine including two horizontal rotor impellers for guiding and uniformly distributing the crop residue on a field, a triangular nose divider with a pyramidal shape which is wider at the base and an extension near or into the chopper. The spreader further comprises a straw guiding plate provided with specially shaped rakes on each side of the guiding plate.

  • Patent number: 7677018
Abstract: A tensioning system for a drive belt of a blower of a forage harvester includes a tensioning roller, a rod for moving the tensioning roller towards and away from the belt, a spring surrounding the rod and acting between a first abutment mounted on the rod and a second abutment connected to the chassis of the harvester to urge the roller towards the belt. The chassis connected abutment is carried by an arm that is movable relative to the chassis and anchored by a tie bar.

  • Patent number: 7648413
Abstract: A system and method of controlling maximum available engine power of a combine harvester wherein the engine drives the harvester and additionally powers a threshing mechanism for separating harvested crop into grain and crop residue and at least one further crop processing subsystem that may be selectively configured and disengaged, including a straw chopper engageable for chopping the crop residue and propelling the chopped residue from the harvester, structure configurable for directing the crop residue into the chopper or to bypass the chopper, utilizing a controller for automatically reducing the maximum available engine power as a function of the status of the engagement of the subsystems, particularly the chopper and the configuration of the associated structure.

  • Publication number: 20080305841
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a combine harvester having a threshing mechanism for separating harvested crop into grain and crop residue and a guide mechanism for directing the flow of crop residue from the threshing mechanism along one of three paths, the guide mechanism comprising two deflection doors that can each take up one of two positions. Each of the doors of the guide mechanism is supported on a pivot shaft fitted with a crank arm and a resilient element connects the two crank arms to one another in such a manner that each door, independently of the position of the other door, is urged by the resilient element to remain in one of two stable end positions and passes through an unstable over-centre position when moved from one stable end position to the other.

  • Patent number: 6508705
Abstract: An agricultural harvester is provided with a grain tank affixed to its main frame for storing therein processed crop material. The volume of the grain tank can be extended by an extension assembly comprising a first pair of mutually opposed panels and a second pair of mutually opposed panels. The panels are movable between a lower, inoperative position and a higher, operative position in which the panels substantially increase the volume of the grain tank. The movement of the second pair is controlled by the movement of the first pair of panels. The panels are provided with locking mechanism for keeping all panels in their operative position and which are disposed to become engaged and to secure the extension assembly in the extended position when the first pair of panels moves the second pair of panels to their operative position.
