  • Patent number: 11808481
Abstract: A ventilation system in accordance with the present disclosure includes a housing and a core unit arranged in the housing. A fresh air inlet, an exhaust air inlet, a fresh air outlet, and an exhaust air outlet are arranged on the housing. The core unit is arranged between the inlets and outlets to transfer heat and/or humidity between fresh air and exhaust air flowing through the ventilation system. The exhaust air flows through ducting to an exhaust port in a wall of a building structure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 22, 2021
Date of Patent: November 7, 2023
    Assignee: Broan-NuTone LLC
    Inventors: Stéphane Michaud, Danic Vermette
  • Patent number: 11466879
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a supply fan assembly including a controller, a memory operably coupled with the controller. The supply fan assembly further includes at least one environment sensor operably coupled with the controller and a fan supplying fresh air from an exterior environment into a structure according to instructions from the controller. Additionally, the operational data is generated by the at least one of the environment sensor and the controller, and the controller instructs the fan in response to the operational data generated during a pre-defined time period.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20170130983
Abstract: An energy recovery ventilator (“ERV”) connecting an outside air intake to an outside air supply for an AHU or an interior space. The ERV includes a damper for controlling the outside air inflow to the AHU or the interior space. A humidity sensor and a temperature sensor can be mounted within the inlet air path proximate the damper to monitor the temperature and humidity of outside air approaching the ERV through the outside air intake. The damper can be positioned to according to the measured temperature and humidity of the outside air to control the outside air being supplied to the AHU or the interior space.
