  • Publication number: 20210383595
Abstract: In one implementation, an enhanced vision system includes a portable user device, a base station including a hardware processor and a memory storing a virtual effects rendering software code, and a display device communicatively coupled to the base station. The hardware processor executes the virtual effects rendering software code to detect the presence of the portable user device in a real-world environment, obtain a mapping of the real-world environment, and identify one or more virtual effect(s) for display in the real-world environment. The hardware processor further executes the virtual effects rendering software code to detect actuation of the portable user device, and to control the display device to display the virtual effect(s) in the real-world environment based on the mapping, and the position and orientation of the portable user device during the detected actuation.

  • Publication number: 20210173828
Abstract: A metadata catalog may store metadata about data sources. The metadata may define table, column, partition and/or data formats, as well as title information, textual descriptions, modification information, data schemas and access information, such as location and connection information. A metadata catalog service may provide a shared, persistent, central repository for the metadata. The metadata of the catalog may be published via multiple access mechanisms and programmatically obtained and processed by other programs via the metadata catalog service. Metadata consumers may utilize the metadata catalog service to perform various metadata tasks, such as metadata retrieval, creation, addition, modification and/or deletion. The metadata catalog service may be directly integrated into existing data analytic tools as a persistent and durable metadata store allowing users to utilize the broad set of data processing tools.

  • Publication number: 20210107104
Abstract: The Rivet Pattern Pitch Gauge is a tool designed to properly space rivets or other fasteners in an aircraft skin repair. The tool consists of a straight edge with measure markings, a row of teeth set at a forty-five degree angle, and a corner that has a half inch radius gauge built in. The tool uses the teeth, which are six times the diameter of the fastener in height and length, to evenly space the fasteners when laying out the aircraft skin repair. It is this spacing coupled with the forty-five degree angled teeth that allow for accurate and quick repair layouts and that differentiate the Rivet Pattern Pitch Gauge from other fastener spacing tools.

  • Patent number: 10490086
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method processes position information for aircraft located on the ground and provides a notification to a remote user in response to a triggering event. Typically, aircraft position data is received over a digital network. The service accepts requests for notification associated with an identified aircraft and subsequently provides notifications of events based upon the aircraft position data. Upon receiving a user query, a server subsequently retrieves a result set from the aircraft ground position data and determines if an event associated with the identified aircraft has occurred and if so, triggers the notification. In one form, the requested notification may be presented to the user in the form of an HTML message or update, e-mail, telephone call, text message or the some other electronic transmission or message.
