  • Patent number: 4225482
Abstract: A process for preparing an aqueous concentrated latex of a copolymer or terpolymer of ethylene and a C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 -perfluorocarbon by creaming a latex of 25-30% copolymer solids and recovering a concentrated latex having 1.5-2.5 times the concentration of the starting latex. The concentrated latex can be used to prepare crack-free or void-free coatings on substrates.

  • Patent number: 4140604
Abstract: An improvement in the process for preparing mercaptans wherein an ethylenically unsaturated organic compound is reacted with hydrogen sulfide that is present in molar excess, catalyzed by UV light, with recovery of the desired mercaptan from the reaction mixture. The improvement being the carrying out of the reaction in the presence of an effective amount of selected class of acetophenone reaction promoters. The improved process results in much faster reaction rates.
